Reuniting with Family and Old Friends

*Zayn's POV*

*Backstage*

"THAT WAS AMAZING!" Louis yelled when we arrived in the dressing room.

"You haven't changed, have you?" Liam asked him as he sat down on the couch.

"Nope." Louis replied, sitting next to him.

"They looked pretty shocked." I stated after a few seconds of silence.

"I know. Do you think they were suspicious of the band?" Niall asked.

"I don't think so. But when they come back here, we'll tell them." Liam replied.

"Hey boys." Lou Teasdale said when she walked into the room.

"Hi." We said in unison.

"How'd we do?" Harry asked.

"Amazing as usual." She replied with a huge smile.

"Did you get a good look at our families, Simon, and Ed?" I asked curiously.

"Yeah. They were basically in shock the whole time, just like the rest of the crowd." Lou explained.

"No wonder they were all staring at us like we had five heads." Liam stated.

The six of us sat around talking and catching up for the next 10 minutes, until everyone started piling into the dressing room. As they were making their way into the room, they were all giving us weird looks. Do I have something on my face?

"What the heck are you guys doing here?" Simon finally asked after a few moments of silence.

"We're here to support our daughters. Why else would we be here?" Louis replied in a 'duh' tone.

"I don't know, maybe because no one ever told you guys that they would be auditioning for the X Factor." Ed replied.

"And we thought you guys haven't found out about all of this yet." Jessica adds.

"Of course we were going to find out. We've been watching you guys from the start." I said.

"You were?" They all say in confusion.

"Yeah. We didn't realize that you girls were the daughters of our old friends until the judges house." Niall explained.

"When I realized I called the others and we all met at a local restaurant we used to go to all the time when we were a band." Louis adds.

Once again, they stand there, giving us weird looks. I don't know about the others, but it's kind of creeping me out that they keep doing that.

"Why do you guys keep looking at us like that?" I asked, shifting uncomfortably.

"Sorry, we just weren't expecting you guys to be here." Perrie replied.

"Well, can you stop. It's kind of creeping me out." I said.

They nodd and shift their eyes to different parts of the room.

"No way." Simon whispered suddenly.

"What?" The boys and I ask in confusion.

"Lou?" Simon asks as he's staring at Lou sitting next to me.

"Wow, ten minutes in the room and I finally get noticed. I'm really feeling the love." Lou says sarcastically as she gets up and gives Simon a hug.

"What are you doing here?" He asks in confusion.

"You really think the boys would perform without the One Direction crew?" She asks in a 'really' tone.

"One Direction crew?" Simon asks in confusion.

"Why don't you go check the stage?" Liam tells him.

*Simon's POV*

"Why don't you go chek the stage?" Liam tells me.

I quickly leave the dressing room and walk out on stage, where I found many people who I didn't recognize.

"Who are these people?" I asked Liam.

"Josh Devine, Paul Higgins, the band, and all the people who made One Direction possible." Liam says from behind me.

My jaw dropped when I realized that it was them.

"Hello Simon." Paul said, sticking his hand out for me to shake, but I ended up hugging him.

After hugging everyone, I came to a woman that I did not recognize at all.

"Who are you?" I ask in confusion.

"You really don't recognize me?" She asked as I shook my head.

"It's me, Lux Teasdale. Lou's daughter." She explained to me as my jaw dropped once again.

"No way." I said in disbelief.

"Way." She laughed.

"You've grown so much." I said as I gave her a hug.

"That's what happens when you don't see someone for a few years." She shot back.

"Apparantly." I mumbled.

"I'm sorry to break up this little reunion, but shouldn't the girls get back to the hotel? They need rest since they have to wake up early." Maura stated suddenly.

"You're right. We can catch up tomorrow. But right now the girls need some rest." I said.

We all made our way back to the hotel and we all immediately went to our rooms, concidering we were all tired. I can't believe the boys actually performed on the X Factor tonight. It's been years since they've performed. I need to talk to them tomorrow. I need to know why they suddenly wanted to perform tonight after years of probably not singing.
