*Jessica Malik's POV*

Hi, I'm Jessica Malik and I am 17 years old. I am currently a senior at London High School and I love to draw and sing, but mostly sing. Dad has always told me that he has never liked the music industry and always says horrible things about singing competitions, especially the X Factor. That is probably one of the biggest reasons why I have never told him I could sing or that I loved it.

I would never tell him that I would love to be a famous singer when I grow up after what he's said about the music industry. And I would never tell him that I am auditioning for the X Factor tomorrow. He would probably disown me as a child. Luckily my mother is all for it.

There's actually a funny story to how my mother found out about my talents. One day, when I thought I was home alone, I decided to draw, just for fun. So I put in my earphones and blasted my favorite song. I then sat at my desk and started drawing random things. I didn't even realize i was singing until I felt a tap on my shoulder, which made me jump to the ceiling. Then did I realize that my mother was home and staring at me with wide eyes and her jaw wide open.

Okay, it wasn't a funny story, but you get the picture. Anyway, she had known that the auditions were coming up and basically told me that I was going to the auditions or I would be grounded. Little did she know that I was planning on auditioning all along. Thankfully the place where the auditions were being held was only a half an hour drive, so we're leaving early tomorrow morning. Dad has no idea that I'm even going to the auditions nor does he have a clue that mom is taking me. Hopefully he won't freak out when he finds out.
