*Emily Payne's POV*

Hi, I'm Emily Payne and I am 17 years old. I am finally a senior at London High School and I love to sing. Dad has never liked anything that had to do with music. He doesn't even like the X Factor. Him not liking anything that had to do with music and not liking the X Factor are probably the two reasons why I have never told him about my talent. Or for the fact that I am auditioning for the X Factor and mom is taking me.

I know my mom is not supposed to know that I can sing, but I couldn't help it. I was in the shower thinking that I was home alone. Ususally I sing in the shower when I know for a fact that I am home alone. Well apparently I was wrong the last time. Mom literally came into the bathroom and pulled away the shower curtain to make sure she wasn't hearing things. I was mad at her for a couple of days, but then got over it when she said that I sould audition for the X Factor. She had no idea that I had been planning to do so all along. I was literally trying to figure out how I was getting there until mom offered to take me.

Usually My parents and I would usually have a relaxing family day on Saturday's, so mom and i told dad that mom and I just wanted to spend the day shopping and al that other stuff. Not going to lie that I felt guilty when I saw dad's hurt expression. I felt even worse when he offered to come with us and spend the day with us and we told him we just wanted a mother-daughter day. But this has been my dream my whole life, along with becoming famous and I don't want him getting in the way of that.
