Emily Payne's Audition

*Emily's POV*

"Emily, if you keep biting your nails, you're not going to have any nails left." Mom told me as we followed the staff member.

"Sorry, habit." I respond.

"A havit that you only do when you're nervous." My mom shot back.

"Whatever. I mumble.

"Don't be nervous, you're going to do fine. Trust me." Mom assures me as we approach side stage.

The staff members hurry me to the stage entrace. They hand me a microphone, give me some instructions, ten push me on stage.

"Hello." I say to the judges once I am in front of them.

"Hello darling. What's you're name?" Simon asks me.

"Emily Payne." I reply.

I swear Simon' and Ed Sheeran's eyes bug out of ther sockets, but it was hard to tell because they went back to normal within a second.

"And how old are you, Emily?" Ed asks me.

"I'm 17 years old." I told them.

"What song are you going to be singing for us today?" Katy asked me.

"I'm going to be singing 'Me, Myself, and Time' by Demi Lovato." I tell them.

"Cool. Let's hear it." Katy tells me as the music starts playing.

"I can make the rain stop if I wanna,

Once I finish, the whole audience goes wild and the judges give me a standing ovation.

"That was amazing. I really loved it. It's a yes from me." Katy said with a huge smile.

"I thought that was completely brilliant. That was one of the best auditions I have seen all day. It's definitley a yes from me." Ed told me witha smile, then continued. "By the way, you look very familiar."

Okay then.

"Ed's right. You do look very familiar." Simion says slowly, before he had a sudden realization. I don't know what it was about, but that's the look he had on his face. He whispered something in Ed's ear before returning his attention back to me.

"I just realized why you look so familiar to me. Why don't come see me after the auditions are done with whoever is hear with you today. And by the way your performance was amazing. You really have a nice voice. I want to see you again, so it's a yes from me." Simon explained to me.

"Thank you so much." I said to the judges as I smiled from ear to ear.

Once I exited the stage, I gave my microphone back and liteterally jumped into my mothers arms.

"I told you you'd be fine." My mother said to me when we let go of the embrace.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." I responded,

"Hey, how about we go to dinner to celebrate?" My mother asked me.

"First of all, it's only lunch time and second of all, I have to stay here until the auditions are over because Simon wants to speak to me. Weren't you listening?" I explained to my mother as we approached the waiting room.

My mother took one look at the waiting room full of people and groaned.

"This is going to be one long day." My mother whined as we took a seat and waitied.
