*Jamie's POV*

*The Next Day*

I know you're probably wondering what when on last night once the show ended. Well, let me tell you something. It wasn't very pretty. Dad, Niall, Liam, Louis, Zayn, and Simon came barging into the dressing room after the show and started going off on us. Our fathers were yelling at us because we just told the whole world our problems. Simon was going off on us because we changed our song at the last possible minute. In the end, Simon admitted that it was kind of a beautiful performance and he did get a little emotional during the video. So he decided it was best not to kick us off of the show. As for our dads, they haven't spoken to us since they went off on us.

"Girls it's time." The staff member told us, shaking me from my thoughts.

"Well, it's now or never." Emily said to us.

"Do you think they're going to be there?" Annemarie asked nervously, referring to our fathers.

"I have no idea." I said honestly as we made our way out of the dressing room.

We slowly made our way to the stage, with a good luck from everyone passed on the way over.

"Don't be nervous. Either way, you girls are amazing." Simon told us as we approached him on stage.

As I was waiting for the show to come back on, I looked out to the crowd, where our families usually sit, only to find that our fathers weren't there.

"Don't worry, they'll get over it soon." Simon whispered for only me to hear, probably seeing my sad look on my face.

"Welcome back to the X Factor Finale where we now have our two finalists on stage. These contestants have been working so hard this past season and have been waiting for this moment since they first auditioned." The host explained. The host said a few more things, but I wasn't really paying attention. I still can't get my mind off the fact that our fathers aren't here to see this.

"And the winner of the X Factor is," The host said, before looking down at opening up his envelope, leaving the whole room dead silence.

He looked up and looked straight at the camera before smiling and yelling, "DAUGHTER DIRECTION!"

There was confetti everywhere, with people yelling in excitment. The girls beihind me were jumping up and down in excitment while hugging Simon. I just stood there, frozen, wondering if that actually happened or if this was some kind of dream.

*An hour later*

"I still can't believe they would be that angry and not come to one of the most important shows of our lives." Emily said and we all nodded in agreement.

Our families were talking with Simon about something, so we just decided we would wait for them, so we can have dinner when we get back.

"Wait, so they just didn't show up because they're mad at you girls?" Lux asked.

"Basically." I replied.

"And why are they mad exactly?" Lux asked.

"Because they think we told the whole world their business when we made our little speech yesterday before we performed." Alex explained.

"Are you kidding me?" Lux said in disbelief.

"Nope." We said, popping the 'p'.

"That was far from telling everyone their business. You were just explaining why you were diedicating the song to them." Lux said with a hint of anger in her voice.

"Well, they think that we told everyone in the world their business and that's why they're not here right now." Jessica said in a bit of annoyance.

With that comment, we changed the subject and continued to talk for another half an hour before our families came in and told us it was time to leave.

*At the hotel*

Once we stepped foot inside the hotel, the girls and I started for the elevator, but we were stopped by Emily's mother.

"Wait, girls!" Sophia yelled after us, making us turn and face them.

"Yes?" Emily asked.

"We wanted to take you to the hotel's restaurant to celebrate your big win." Sophia explained.

"Listen, guys, that's really sweet of you, but I think we're just going to head upstairs. We're pretty tired." Jessica tells them.

"Well, I have something to discuss with you girls, so I think you're better off going to the hotel's restaurant." Simon tells us as he came up behind our families.

The girls and I groan loudly before making our way toward the restaurant. Don't they know we're not in the mood to do anything right now, concidering the only people we wanted to be there tonight, weren't.
