Meet Alexandra Horan

*Alexandra Horan's POV*

Hello, my name is Alexandra Horan, but all my friends call me Alex. I am 17 years old and I am a senior and London High School I also love to sing and play the guitar. When I was about 10 or 11, I was looking in the attic for some of the Christmas decorations, when I found a dusty guitar just sitting in the back. I had never noticed until then and I was determined to learn how to play it. So, when dad and mom were not paying attention, I snuck it down from the attick and into my room. I spent the rest of the day in my room, learning how to play, even though the guitar was too big for me. But eventually I had grown into it.

Anyway, dad does not like anything that has to do with music, especially that singing competition, the X Factor. So I was confused when I found the guitar in the attic. I have always grown up to dad complaining about music and the X Fator and how much he doesn't like them. So I guess you can see why I was confused to find a guitar in my room. I actually haven't told my dad about the guitar or my singing. Dad's complaining is the reason why I have never told him.

But I couldn't hide my talent forever. A few days ago, my cousin, Theo, decided to come hang out with me at my house, I had told him to go in my room to get my phone because I was to lazy to get off the couch. When he came back, he was holding the guitar that I had found in that attic a few years before. He asked me where I had gotten it and I told him the truth. When he asked me what I was doing with it, I told him to give me the guitar. Once he did, I started strumming a random song and sang the lyrics that went along with them. That's when Theo suggested I go out for the X Factor. He even offered to drive me. So I had accepted that offer, and now I am a nervous wreck because the auditions are tomorrow. I told dad that I had decided to spend the day with Theo tomorrow and I probably won't be back until later that night. He didn't mind since he was always trying to get me out of the house and be social.
