LIve Show # 2
*Zayn's POV*
*The Next Week*
Tonight is the girls second live show on the X Factor and we somehow managed to get front row tickets. I don't know why we got front row seats because they're going to notice us, even if we're in disguises.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage, Daughter Direction." The host announced before our daughters ran on stage.
Well, wish us luck that we don't get caught.
*Jessica's POV*
"Girls, you're on." The staff member told us.
We silently made our way to the stage. We're all kind of bummed that our fathers couldn't be here. You see, last week, after the result show, we've come to the conclusion that they haven't watched the X Factor this season and don't even know that their own daughters are contestants.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage, Daughter Direction." The host announced, shaking me from our thoughts.
We ran on stage, just as the music started playing. Let's hope that our fathers find out soon.
"How's everyone doin' tonight?" Emily yelled to the crowd.
"Tonight we're going to sing another One Direction song." I announced over the low playing music.
"For those of you who don't know, our fathers were in a band, One Direction, way back in the day." Annemarie explained as the crowd cheered loudly.
"They had no idea that we had autitioned for the X Factor, and we don't even know if we're even contestants on the show. But we hope they find out soon." Alexandra added.
"Even if they don't know that we're contestants on the X Factor, we would like to dedicate this song to our fathes. Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne, or otherwise known as One Direction." Jamie told the crowd.
"We would like to dedicate this song to them because, we know that they loved what they did, they loved travelling around the world, and they most certainly loved all you fans out there." Emily continued.
"We're dedicating this song to them because if they are out there watching, we don't want them to forget where the belonged." I told the crowd, as they cheered.
"Ladies and gentlement, this is 'Don't Forget Where You Belong' by One Direction." Annemarie told the crowd with a smile on her face.
The band started to play the music louder before we started singing the lyrics. I looked at the judges and they had tears in their eyes, even Ed and Simon.
"[Emily]
Been a lot of places.
I've been all around the world.
Seen a lot of faces.
Never knowing where I was.On the horizon.
Oh, well, I know, I know, I know, I know the sun will be rising
Back home.[Alexandra]
Living out of cases,
Packing up and taking off.
Made a lot of changes
But not forgetting who I was.On the horizon.
Oh, well, I know, I know, I know, I know the moon will be rising
Back home.[All]
Don't forget where you belong–home.
Don't forget where you belong–home.
If you ever feel alone–don't.
You were never on your own.[Jamie]
And the proof is in this song."
As we were singing, I noticed the screen behind us were showing old pictures of our fathers from when they were still in One Direction. From there X Factor auditions to their last show as One Direction. I, for one, didn't know that was happening, but I think it's the most adorable thing ever.
"I've been away for ages
But I've got everything I need.
I'm flicking through the pages.
I've written in my memory.I feel like I'm dreaming.
Oh, so I know, I know, I know, I know that I'm never leaving.
No, I won't go.[All]
Don't forget where you belong–home.
Don't forget where you belong–home.
If you ever feel alone–don't.
You were never on your own.
And the proof is in this song[Annemarie]
Lights off when they should be on.
Even stars in the skies, they're wrong.[Jessica]
Short days when the nights are long
When I think of the things I've done[Annemarie and Jessica]
Don't matter how far I've gone–
I'm always feeling at home.
Oh."By this time in the song, we had everyone in the audience clapping. Throughout the song, I couldn't stop smiling because of the energy in the arena. This has to be our best performance ever, even though it's our second live show.
"[All]
Don't forget where you belong–home.
Don't forget where you belong (don't forget it)–home.
If you ever feel alone–don't.
You were never on your own.
Never, never, never.Don't forget where you belong–home.
Don't forget where you belong (don't forget it)–home.
If you ever feel alone–don't.
You were never on your own (you were never).
And the proof is in this song.Home.
Don't forget it.
Home.
If you ever feel alone–don't.
You were never on your own (you were never).
And the proof is in this song.Never forget it.
This song.
Don't forget it!
No, I never forget it.
This song.
You were never..."By the end of the song, the crowd was cheering louder than ever and the judges were on their feet once again. I think I even saw a tear roll down Simon's cheeck, but I could be wrong.
"That was truely beautiful. I liked the speech you gave in the beginning, the pictures behind you as you were singing, the energy you brought to the stage, and just everything about your performance." Katy told us, once the crowd calmed down.
"I was good freinds with your father when we were younger and I remember them performing that song over and over at their concerts, but never did they bring that kind of energy to the stage when they sang that song. But then again, I think it was the fact that you dedicated the song to them and the fact that, that speech you girls gave fired you guys up. I truely loved it. Good job girls." Ed explained to us with huge smile across his face,
"Girls, I have once cry during a peformance in my life. But what you girls brought out on stage tonight, definitely hit a nerve. Thank you for that performance tonight. As you were singing, I was looking out in the crowd, and I swear I saw your fathers here tonight. If they were, they would be so proud of you because you girls have amazing talent. Well done." Simon told us, causing us to smile widely.
As usual, the host came out to talk to us for a moment after the judges gave us their feedback. Once the host let us go, we literally ran off stage and into the dressing room. Best night ever.
