After a few minutes of sitting, Mordecai adjusted so that he could lay down on the couch with Rocky strategically placed on top of him. After taking his glasses off, he adjusted the throw pillow that he had his head on and closed his eyes.
His hands rested gently on Rocky's back now as they waited a little while for dinner time to roll around. Their previous activities took an unexpected turn and took longer than what had more or less been planned.
He sighed and began to purr, enjoying the closeness they could have in the safety of the apartment.
The tabby definitely didn't mind their current positioning but he was worried about Mordecai's injury.
"Are you sure this is okay for me to be on you like this... with your shoulder and all..."
He lifted himself up on his arms to ease the weight that he would've been putting on the man's chest.
Mordecai cracked an eye open and looked at the tabby before pulling him back down.
"I assure you, I'll be alright, my dear. It's just a scratch."
He said, having Rocky put his head down against his chest.
The tabby sighed and put his full weight on the other man, beginning to purr softly.
"You didn't see it as it did... alas, if this ends up being too much for you, I shall switch places with you at the very least. Deal?"
He punctuated the question with a kiss.
"Stitches were not needed, therefore, it is a scratch."
Mordecai hummed, closing his eyes again.
"It won't take long to heal, I'm sure. Thank you for your concern."
"I'll always be concerned for you. I care about you... I love you, Mordecai...."
He kissed the man on the lips.
The black and white cat steadily exhaled and brought his left hand up to very gently caress Rocky's cheek as he returned the kiss and held it. With his right hand, Mordecai very lightly ran his claws up and down the tabby's back while his purring increased in volume slightly.
Rocky sighed deeply, enjoying the scratches, humming pleasantly and nuzzling his face into the man's chest.
Mordecai relaxed into the couch, despite the fact that it wasn't the most comfortable thing to lay on, and continued to match Rocky's purring rhythm.
"You're beautiful..."
He sighed after a few moments of silence, kissing the center of the tabby's forehead once more.
"Not as beautiful as you are, my dear."
He giggled, swishing his tail back and forth over the other man's, then entwining his tail around Mordecai's.
The tuxedo chuckled lightly and looked down at the tabby again.
"I have my doubts, but thank you."
He said as he wrapped his tail around Rocky's in turn, curling the end in a sort of hug.
"You can doubt all you'd like... but it's the truth."
He kissed Mordecai's nose.
His nose scrunched and he turned his face away, huffing an exhale through his nostrils.
"In some alternative reality, I'm sure it is."
"Nope! In this reality!"
He playfully bit the man's neck.
Mordecai's body tensed and his eyes squeezed shut.
"Do I need to repeat myself?"
He asked with a bit of a groan.
"You might have to, but it's not like I'll listen. You're the most beautiful man I've ever met, and you can't convince me otherwise."
Rocky huffed and turned his face away in a teasing manner.
Mordecai sighed and gently bit Rocky's ear.
"Now we're even."
The tabby's ears perked and whiskers flew forward.
"Still feeling playful?!"
Rocky's stomach growled, he wanted to play but he was still hungry and didn't quite have the energy to take this further.
"Hmmmmm...."
He laid his face down in the crook of the tuxedo's neck and moaned lightly.
"Still feeling hungry... a little tired... maybe a nap is in order..."
