Due to how early they ended up going to bed, Mordecai had woken up a while before he was scheduled to get ready for work. The further he came into the waking world, the more aware he was of the body that was still curled into him.
With a small hum, the tuxedo rubbed his cheek into the top of Rocky's head. His ear flicked a few times as he picked up on the faint sound of rain outside. It seemed to have rained all through the night and well into the morning.

"Rocky..."
Mordecai purred softly.
"Are you awake, dearest?"

"I'm wide awake."
Rocky spoke softly, his eyes still closed. The tabby of course was still out cold and speaking to Mordecai in his sleep. Soft purring started when he heard his lover speak to him. Instinctively, he curled up closer to him as he felt affection being given.

The tuxedo inhaled and cracked his eyes open a bit. He couldn't see that Rocky was still very much unconscious.
"I think I'll be getting ready to leave shortly... I assume you'd like to remain in bed?"

"I'd love to come to watch you get ready, Mordecai..."
Rocky didn't budge.

Mordecai shook his head and kissed the top of Rocky's head.
"No, dearest, stay in bed. You sound tired and it's still raining."

The tabby squeezed around Mordecai tighter.
"But I want to go with you..."
He purred, loosening his grip on his lover.

The black and white cat carefully turned his body and reached for the pocket watch that he had left on the nightstand.
"Come with me?"
He asked as he brought the object closer so that he could see the time.
"Come with me where?"
It was nearing eight now, so he had about an hour and a half before he had to leave for work; plenty of time to get up, make breakfast, eat, get dressed, and figure out what Rocky was going to do for the day. He put the watch back down before rubbing his eyes to help with the process of waking up.
"If you're referring to work, I'm afraid I can't permit that."

"Not to work silly, to the Constable."
The tabby laughed softly.
"He's placing you under arrest for being too gosh darn attractive. The locals are having a hard time concentrating on their lives, being distracted by you..."
Rocky let out a soft snore.

That snore was more than enough of an indication for Mordecai to realize that Rocky was indeed talking in his sleep. With a roll of his eyes, he figured that talking to his partner about any of this was going to be pointless, so he would just get up and start the day.

"Alright, I will cooperate. Put me in cuffs, good sir."
He sighed as he began to shift himself out of the tabby's hold.

Rocky raised his arm and dropped it onto Mordecai.
"Book 'im boys."
He drooled a little on his pillow.
"I'll post your bail, my love... this is to teach you a lesson on being such a Sheik..."
He huffed a laugh.
"Make you sweat it out in jail for a few hours..."

Mordecai raked his claws through the fur on his cheeks a bit once he was sat up with his feet firmly on the floor.
"How could you do this to me, dearest?"
He decided to play along with whatever ridiculous dream his lover was having while he stood up and moved over to the wardrobe.
"You could have at least told me that my appearance was distracting to the public. I could have done something about it."

"How could I have when I was distracted as well?"
Rocky snored again.
"Only the octopi riding a circus bear would have the possibility of holding someone's attention from your beauty..."

Mordecai started to gather his clothes, deciding to go and dress in the bathroom so that Rocky could proceed to sleep without interruptions.
"I suppose you have a point. Regardless, I will keep that in mind."
He continued, closing the wardrobe when he had everything neatly draped over his arm and ready to be put on.
"I will see you when I get out of the slammer in a few hours."
He said while stepping out of the room, glancing back at the sleeping tabby for a moment.
