The Illusion of Danger

Chapter 37

Mordecai got up and put a few things in the office away, whilst Rocky went to the bathroom to start on the bath.
The tuxedo only wanted to make sure that the letter was tucked into the respective box that he kept all other things. Once he completed that, he began to strip for his quick shower as soon as the tub had been filled.

"You've already showered today, so I don't think you would need a second one."
Mordecai said as he pulled his tie off and started undoing the buttons of his shirt.

"As long as you're okay with it, I am as well."
Rocky pulled off his sock garters then socks. Lastly, his underwear, setting it all on the counter while he filled the bath with warm water.
"It's almost full if you want to wash down real quick. I'll wait to get in with you."

Mordecai nodded and removed his shirt, neatly setting it with his tie.
"Are you certain you don't want me to cook for you?"
He asked as he hooked the back on his undershirt with his claws and pulled it up over his head.
"I don't mind."

"Maybe after you relax a little you'll be hungry too. I don't want you to have to cook for me when you're not feeling well emotionally."
Rocky swished the water around his hand and kept the faucet at that temperature. He stood from the edge of the tub to walk over and wrap his arms around Mordecai.
"Thank you though."
The tabby kissed his boyfriend on the lips. After he pulled away, he turned Mordecai around to check on his injury before it got wet and soggy.
"It's healing up nicely. You're a fast healer Mordecai."

The tuxedo looked back in yet another failed attempt to see the healing injury before he moved on to removing his pants.
"It certainly helps that it's in a location that isn't easily accessed, plus the added detail that stitches weren't needed."
He said as he folded his trousers and slid his sock garters and socks off.

"That's all very true."
Rocky ran his hand gently over the wound.
"It's warm, that's a good sign."
He smiled and kissed Mordecai's shoulder, then turned around to inspect the bath again. The tub was almost at the right capacity, another minute or two and he could turn off the faucet.

Mordecai nodded and made sure everything was neatly set before moving over to the shower. Due to the bathtub running, the water temperatures were going to clash and leave him with a cold shower, but he wasn't going to complain since he was getting into warm water right after.

Without waiting, the tuxedo stepped into the frigid water and felt his body tense immediately. It was definitely a shock but he also found it rather pleasant, feeling the sudden icy numbness bring a lovely tingle to every inch that the water touched.
He knew he couldn't dwell on it for too long, so he made quick work getting started on scrubbing himself.

Rocky couldn't help but watch on as Mordecai washed. This man was gorgeous with anything and everything he did. Surprisingly, he wasn't aroused at just watching him wash, just in awe of how meticulous the man could be about everything. He was so beautiful.

The moment the tuxedo finished washing, he shut the water off and shuddered at the persistent cold that plagued his fur. He shook and slicked as much off as he could before stepping out with a shiver.
"Alright, I think that's enough water, Rocky... I'd like to get in now."

Rocky shook his head, being brought out of his small trance.
"OH!"
The tabby turned around and swiftly brought the water to a halt.
"Thanks, I kinda got distracted..."
He cleared his throat and stood from his spot on the edge of the tub.

"It's alright..."

"I'll get it first, you can sit in my lap this time so I can rub your shoulders."
Rocky smiled and stepped into the tub, submerging half his body in the water. Looking back up at Mordecai, he invited the older man into the tub with him.
