[R/D]chapter nineteen: horror in heaven.

Toby POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Hey, wake up!"
Someone yells, I open my eyes and see Oliver, along with a blonde boy, who looks like hes about to cry, and the town people...they're all panicking.

"What's going on?"
I ask, Oliver unlocks the cell.

"The flock went off pattern, they're coming for the walls, they'll break them all down and kill everyone here!"
Oliver says.

"I-i dont wanna die...p-please...I don't..."
The blondie mumbles.

"Your carriage, do you have it?!"
I ask.

"Yeah, it's ready to go, but we can't leave yet."
Oliver says.

"Why not?!"
I yell, the blondie flinches at my yelling...im not even yelling at him, what the fuck is wrong with this kid??

"Toby, your group has been spotted, they're almost here, they could make it right before the flock does...and they have Eren, my older brother."
Oliver says.

"Get the carriage and bring it to the gate, me and your friend will wait at the gate for them."
I say, Oliver nods and runs off.

"W-wait, what if they dont make it? The gate is open, the flock would hit it first!"
The blondie says.

"I cant leave my group...(y/n) is the only person I trust with my life, they'll be here, they're always been there for me."
I say.

"I'm samuel, but I like being called Sam...you're Toby, right?"
Sam asks.

"Yeah...listen, I'm not sure if we'll make it, but if anything happens, and me and Oliver arent anywhere, go to the (h/c) haired one with a worn jacket, they're the best person at protecting people, okay?"
I say, Sam nods.

"Toby!"
A yell comes from the gate, I look over and see Jack.

"Holy sh-Jack! I've missed you so much!"
I yell, running up and hugging him.

"Toby...we found you..."
A soft mumble says, I look and see no other than (y/n)...just seeing them makes my heart skip beats.

"Oliver, where is he?!"
A man asks, tied in rope, (y/n) pulls out their knife and cuts the ropes.

"He went to get a carriage, but hes been gone a while."
I say.

"Fuck, the flock is coming from the end with the carriages!"
The man says.

"W-what?! Hes in trouble...!"
Sam yells.

"We'll get him, if that carriage is the only way to save us all, we'll get him, let's go!"
(Y/n) yells, we all run down the gravel road, other townsfolk running everywhere, crying and screaming from every angle.

A loud thump brings my attention, I look behind me and see Sam, it looks like hes struggling to breathe.

"Woah, hey! It's alright, look at me, you're alright!'
(Y/n) says, running towards Sam's side and rubbing his back, Sam looks towards them with wide eyes...is he blushing? No, it's just the adrenaline messing with me.

"We have to keep going..."
Sam mumbles, (y/n) puts their hand on Sam's shoulder.

"Stick next to me, if you need help, tell me, okay?"
(Y/n) says, Sam nods quickly and starts running again.

"We're almost there, it's almost definite that theres already some of the rotting there, if anything happens, get Oliver and go, alright? I can't let him get hurt."
The man says, (y/n) Nods.

We make it to the stables and see that theres dead bodies, and a piece of the wall is missing...los muertos are here.

"Oliver!!"
The man yells.

"EREN! HELP!!"
Oliver screams from afar, it looks like is arm is stuck under a wheel, hes kicking one of the dead, trying to keep it away from him, but its not working well.

"No...GET YOUR STINKY ASS HANDS OFF MY LITTLE BROTHER!"
The man yells, running towards the dead, but more arrive from their screaming, (y/n) and Jack run towards Oliver and the carriage, pulling it to get his hand unstuck.

"Toby, grab his good hand!"
(Y/n) says, I pull on Oliver and he gets unstuck

(Y/n) and jack take down whatever of the dead that aren't balled up together, slicing them down to make it easier and buy time for Eren and Oliver...they can't keep going, the sounds are just attracting more..!!

"I..fuck!"
(Y/n) growls, backing away from the now grouping up dead..they can't fight that many, Jack sighs and does the same.

"Wait...Eren!"
Oliver yells, holding his bleeding arm, his brother is trying to fight the dead with a pocket knife, theres at least a dozen, one pins him down...the rest cover the scene as they close in.

"Get him in!"
Jack yells, I pick up Oliver and run to the back of the carriage, this is a different kind, this one is like the ones from those pioneer stories I've heard.

"Oh my god...hes gone..."
(Y/n) mumbles.

"No....please, dont let it be true...I'm gonna wake up and Erens gonna be there..."
Oliver sobs.

"I'm sorry, I couldve helped him..."
Sam says, tearing up.

"He wouldn't have let you, he didn't seem the type to want people to help him.."
(Y/n) says.

Jack and Noah sit in the upper area, Jack is steering the horses out of the walls, we look back and see fire, blood, and corpses...the district has gone to hell.

"This reminds me of something, a story...a pretty bad one, but.."
(Y/n) says, chuckling a little, Sam and Oliver look at them.

"Can we hear it? Seems like we all need cheering up."
I say.

"Sure....a while ago, when I was 11, I was with this woman, her name was Cherit, she found a truck in an old car store and wanted to teach me how to drive, I stepped on the gas and ran into the woods, I ended up hitting a deer and killing it, instead of scolding me or something, Cherit just... laughed, she told me that because of this, we had food for a week, it made me pretty happy."
(Y/n) explains.

"Wow...what happened to the woman?"
Sam asks.

"Well...we were on the road, and something bad happened, we crashed a truck we were in, after that we just kept running into horrible situations, and Cherit turned from a loving woman into...I still loved her like a mother, shes the reason I'm still heading to Denver, she wanted to live there...I'm hoping shes there."
(Y/n) says.

"She sounds nice, did she raise you?"
Sam asks.

"Yeah, she rescued me when my real parents were killed."
(Y/n) says.

"...you're going to Denver?"
Oliver asks.

"Yeah, our group was heading to it, it's a state completely walled in, the safest place in the world."
I say, Oliver winces at my words.

"Really? Oliver, can we go with them?"
Sam asks.

"Sam...I dont know.."
Oliver mumbles.

"We can all live there, we can be friends...! I've never had more than one friend, and you all seem really nice..!"
Sam says, smiling widely.

"Happy to have you, sam, I'm (y/n)!"
(Y/n) says, booping Sam's nose, Sam giggles in response, putting his hands over his nose.

"Fine."
Oliver says, before turning over on his side.

"We'll clean out and bandage that wound tomorrow, its night already, it should be fine until tomorrow."
Jack says.

"Alright...night."
Oliver says.
