[R/D]chapter forty one: the notebook.

Conny POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"This way then!"
I yell.

"Where the fehk are ya takin' us??"
River asks.

"I...i dont know, but we're gonna go there!"
I say.

"For hells sake, stop running! For a guy that eats so much, yer real fehkin fast!"
River yells, i turn to say something, but bump into something.

"Ouch, fuck you tree-...(y/n)?"
I mumble, they nod and i just smile, grabbing them and hugging the life out of them.

"Yeah, its me...please let go before i stop breathing..."
(Y/n) says, i stop hugging them and they pat my head.

"You forgot your eye bandage...!"
I say, (y/n) looks at me and smiles, only then do i notice why they had the bandage on in the first place.

...their eye is closed, and their eyelid looks really dented, like the eye itself is, and on top of that...it looks like blood is dried all over it.

"...what happened?"
I ask.

"A group of assholes."
Toby says, i jump at his sudden appearance.

"Fuck, i gotta put a bell on you...!"
I mumble.

"The car's been to hell and back, no way it'll go back...back chance we're gettin' to leave is by walkin'."
River says.

"Well thats fine, does anyone know where we are?"
Toby asks.

"I think we passed the Missouri line, so....Missouri."
I say.

"It better not rain."
Oliver mumbles.

"Its earth, of course its gonna fehkin rain."
River says.

"Isnt there a cabin thingy in missouri?"
Oliver asks.

"How the hell would i know??"
River asks.

"Sam, he always talked about places his mom would take him to as a kid...he said theres a place in Missouri thats full of cabins, a neighborhood of them really."
Oliver says, smiling a little...i miss Sam.

"Let's see if we can find it, itd definitely be a good place to be in after today."
Toby says.

"...was the food gone?"
I ask.

"A lot of it squished or broke, but theres some left, yer in luck."
River says, tossing a small box to me.

"YESSSS!"
I yells.

"Hey, is that a house?"
Toby asks, i look over and see what looks like a small farm with chickens...whos been feeding them??

"Yeah..yeah! Lets spend the night there!"
(Y/n) says.

"....i wanna pet the chickens."
I mumble.

"As long as you dont eat the chickens."
Toby says.

"Hey, im not that hungry!"
I protest.

"...really?"
Toby says, looking at me like he's unamused.

"...well now im offended."
I say.

We walk over to the farm, reaching my hand to the chickens, they just cluck and bounce away.

"Looks like they don't like ya."
River says, smiling as they walk into the farmhouse, Toby and (y/n) go along.

(Y/n) POV~~~~~~~~~~~~

The farmhouse looks great, theres some food, apples, it isnt too dirty, and the windows are still unbroken.

"Wow, you dont see a lot of this anymore."
Toby mumbles.
