It's about 2 in the morning and I'm getting a call from Celia, I bet she wants to hookup. I have to slap Fang's foot out of my face and grab my phone from under Kevin's arm, Jesus how did we sleep like this. I snuck out of the living room into my bedroom and took the call.
"Hey beautiful what-"
"Toni... I need your help" She whispered, she sounds scared and out of breath.
"What's going on, Celia?" I asked
"Toni i can't explain right now he's-" She went quiet and I can only hear her heavy breathing
"Celia!?" I yelled into the phone "Toni, I'm at 1800 sugar cane lane I need you to save me it's an emergency" She cried.
I ran back into the living room to wake up Fangs and Kevin.
"Boys get up! It's Celia I don't know what's going on she says it's an emergency"
"Fangs get up Toni's bringing a girl over to sma-"
"No it's not like that she's in trouble"
"Are you being serious?" Fangs asked
"Yes I need your help get up!" I ran back into my room and grabbed two baseball bats one metal and one wooden, brass knuckles and my switchblade from my dresser.
I ran outside to where the boys were, Kevin and fangs in Kevin's truck and me on my motorbike. We sped off to sugarcane lane. Before I could reach the street I saw a girl limping/ running shining her phone flashlight. That must be Celia. I stopped my bike, Kev almost crashed into me but I barely noticed.
"Cece what happened?" "They tried to touch me." "Who?!"
That's when I heard tires screeching coming around the corner. It was a sort of beat up black pick-up truck with 3 guys in the back and one in the drivers side. I reached into Kevin's truck to grab the wooden bat as the guys hopped out toward us.
"Celia get in the truck" Kev yelled She limped her way to the truck
"Awwwe it's your Prince Charming" One of the guys teased. He was wearing a bulldogs letterman jacket and jeans.
They all came close to me, fangs and Kev stepped up. I threw the first punch at a white boy with scruffy brown hair. I busted his lip and he had blood spilling out of it.
"You're gonna get it now" The driver said.
He ran up to me but Fangs punched him in the side of his face with the brass knuckles. "Try again douchebag" He said punching him in the gut and kneeing him in the balls. "This is so not a fair fight" I thought. One of the other guys bent down to help him and Kev hit him in the back with the metal bat. 1..2..3 where's the other guy? On cue Celia screamed as she kicked her feet out of the truck at him. Kevin ran up and tackled him I turned to Celia and back to Kevin and he had him in a chokehold
"This normally isn't allowed but we're not on the mats are we?" I went over to the guy and stabbed him in the leg. Kevin let him go and he tried to stand up. Celia hopped out of the truck, kicked him in the balls and yelled
"Crawl bitch!" Him and his boys all crawled back into their truck.
"Princess Charming actually! I yelled at them
"Are you okay?" I asked Celia
"Can we just go back to yours?"
"Yeah come on" I lead her to my bike She looked kind of unsure
"I don't want to ride that right now"
"You can ride with us" Kev offered "Thank you"
"I'll be right in front of you" I said to Kev.
"I don't wanna be alone with any g-guys right now"
"I'll take your bike back, you ride with kev" Fangs suggested
"Is that ok Cece?"
"Yes" she said I got into the backseat of Kevin's truck with her. She laid down in my lap. I messaged her head. We drove at a steady pace and she fell asleep. -
When we pulled into the parking lot I picked Celia up out of the seat she wrapped her arms and legs around me. Fangs used the spare key and opened the door. I laid her down on the couch and got her some water. "Are you hungry" I asked "I don't really have an appetite" "When was the last time you ate?" "Ummm lunch I think" "I think you should eat" "Maybe something light"
Ok something light. Like a snack? No that's not filling. I'll make a salad with the leftover grilled chicken from earlier. I cut up some lettuce, kale, tomatoes I went to get dried fruits from the pantry and saw Kevin getting a blanket for Celia and Fangs turning to Disney+. I warmed up the chicken, finished the salad and made everyone a plate. I grabbed 4 lemonades and sat everything on the coffee table. Today is technically Saturday and I plan on cheering Celia up. She just looks so broken, she's usually a happy, flirtatious girl. The more I think about it the more I want to kill someone. I'm quite good at listening to people, you see I'm one of the house moms at a strip club which is how I pay for all of this, part of my job is listening to the girls and cheering them up. FP gave me the job, he's like a father to me he owns a couple places, a number of bars and clubs. I sometimes bar tend at the Wyrm, a bar he owns on the Southside.
- We're watching Mulan and I notice Celia crying silently. I want to ask her what happened but I don't want to embarrass or trigger her. We finish eating and it's kind of awkward because no one has said anything. But what would you even say to someone who was sexually assaulted not even 2 hours ago? I cleared my throat
"This is one of my favorite Disney movies." I said
"Same" Fangs said
"What's the other ones?" Kevin asked
"Princess and the frog, Tangled, Moana and... Ratatouille"
"I like Toy Story" Celia said drinking her lemonade
"Finally, Toy Story is underrated" Fangs said I decided not to ask her about tonight until later on. She started falling asleep I offered her my bed, a t-shirt and basketball shorts. I told her goodnight and to the boys, who were asleep in the guest bedroom. Kevin on the giant bean bag and Fangs on the top bunk bed. I guess they saved the bottom bed for me. I love them.
