Toni POV

I'm excitedly getting ready to go to lunch with Celia and her family. Things have finally started looking up for me. Thank God. I was putting on my jewelry when I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in!"

"Hey Toni" I heard Cheryl say, walking up to me.

"Hey Cher, by the way you're not upset or anything are you?"

"No, why would I be?"

"I mean with what me and you have going on and me being around my ex... is that a little weird for you or no?"

"Well... at first I was a little jealous but then I realized I didn't have much reason to be. Celia is clearly important to you, who would I be to stand in the way of you getting her back?"

"I'm not trying to get her back, I just want to be in my child's life. You get that right? That all of this isn't really about her it's about the baby. Celia and I decided to just be friends a while ago."

"Oh... that makes me feel even better then. I just came in here to say good luck and that apparently you're taking forever because your mom and Jayden have been waiting on you for twenty minutes"

"I know those heifers aren't talking, I used to have to wait hours for them to be ready to go."

"I'm just the messenger"

"A very cute messenger" I added, making her blush a little

"You look hot today too"

"You sure? It's not too much? I don't look bad? Is it too little? Too slacker-ish? God, I have to change again"

"No you don't, you look great. Not too much not too little, you look fine."

"Okay, right"

"Stop being so nervous you're making me nervous and I'm not even going"

"You're not?"

"No, it's not my place to. I feel like it'd be weird to have me, a random girl who doesn't even know the situation, sit there while you talk custody over a child that isn't mine."

"True, I guess I'm not used to you not following me everywhere I go... I mean, we've barely been away from each other since we've met."

"Aww, you gonna miss me?" She teased

"She might, but she definitely will miss this lunch date if she doesn't hurry the hell up. Let's go, me and mom will be in the car." Jayden said, peeking her head in my bedroom

"Alright well... I'll see you later Cherry"

"Okay, good luck TT" she said, getting on her tip toes to kiss my cheek
