THE WEIRDEST THING in alison wilson's life was that her twin sister insisted on wearing a pink wig during all her performances with her group. other than that, ali's life was fairly boring. she had her routine, avoid her sister and her boyfriend, nick, who ali had had a crush on her whole life, at breakfast, meet up with her best friends flynn at julie at school, classes, music program, homework, occasional dinner with carrie and dad, play, write, repeat. that is until she walks in on julie talking to three ghosts. then everything starts to get weird.
IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE, julie should be the only one who can see the ghosts, her dad can't, her brother can't, flynn can't, no one can until they start to play music with her, but somehow ali can. she's connected to them, but how she doesn't know. the boys are fun, although luke in particular annoys ali, but it isn't until the boys invite julie and ali to join their band that things go from weird to dangerous.
THE FIVE HAVE POWER, and some people will do anything to get their hands on it and use it for themselves which is something the teenagers soon learn. aside from evil dead ghost magicians, ali finds boys (and girls, she isn't picky) just as difficult, and maybe one infuriatingly cute guitar playing boy in particular?
