"W-Wait! What if it was something besides strangulation, then? Like-" Kaito was quickly interrupted by (Y/n)'s tired voice.

"Kaito, there's no doubt Miu was strangled. We've gone over this already..."

"Nee-heehee... Kaito is reeeally desperate to make me the culprit... No matter how much you whine about it, you can't change the truth!" Kokichi exclaimed. "The culprit who killed Miu is Gonna Gokuhara! This is the truth you all adore so much!"

"N-No! Gonta not kill Miu!" Gonta shouted. "It true! You gotta believe Gonta! Gonta would never hurt anyone!"

"I believe you," Tsumugi told him. "You've been risking yourself to protect everyone. There's no way Gonta would kill! He won't even kill bugs!"

"I... believe Gonta, too. I'm not gonna listen to Kokichi's lies..." Himiko said.

"O-Of course! Who'd believe a liar like him?!" Kaito shouted. "He's lying about Gonta being the culprit, so there's no point talking about it!"

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" (Y/n) asked him, her eyes narrowed.

"H-Huh?!"

"I said, what the fuck is wrong with you?" She repeated, quickly losing her patience. "How do you know it's a lie? Do you have any define proof that Gonta's not the culprit? This is a class trial Kaito, which means that we can't disregard anything. We have to discuss everything, no matter how much you 'believe' it to be false."

"...Yeah, I agree with (Y/n). I know how important it is to believe. But as the Ultimate Detective... I know we can't solve this case on belief alone." Shuichi explained. The musician turned to him and shot him a small smile.

"Huh?"

"It's just that... something doesn't add up." The detective continued. "I have this feeling... something's off. We can't keep going back and forth like this. We need to discuss this."

"What, you... wanna suspect Gonta?" Kaito asked. (Y/n) let out an irritated sigh.

Seriously? What is wrong with him? He's being incredibly stupid... She thought with a scowl. None of them wanted to suspect Gonta, but they couldn't rule anything out, no matter how kind that person is.

"Too bad, Kaito. Looks like they agree with me." Kokichi taunted.

"N-No! I'm not trying to-"

"Oh, the irony!" The supreme leader mocked. "It's all thanks to Kaito that Shuichi got his act together as a detective... And now, Shuichi's intuition as a detective has made him more suspicious of others. Welp, can't be helped. That's just what a detective does."

"That's not it, Kokichi!" Shuichi shouted. "I'm just trying to make sure that everyone survi-"

"Shuichi... Gonta really not do it... Gonta... not culprit..." Gonta shakily told him. "Please... believe Gonta..."

"Gonta, sweetie," (Y/n) said, in a soft voice. "I'm sorry, but we can't do that. We all want to believe you... but there are some things we can't over look. Like, why can't you remember anything from the virtual world? Discussing that is a key to finding out whether or not you're the culprit or not. Again, I'm so sorry, but we have to at least talk about it."

"Yes... We might as well discuss it. As a precautionary measure, that's all." Keebo agreed. "I think we need to seriously discuss whether Gonta was capable of committing this crime... Only then can we arrive at a logical decision." (Y/n) looked at him and shot him a grateful look.
