Music.
She had always loved it.
It was like a second language to her.
It felt so natural.
So beautiful.
It could make you feel things.
It could make you happy.
It could make you sad.
It could make you angry.
It truly was an art.
So...
Why did she hate it now?
The (h/c) haired girl stared at the lyrics in front of her as she tried to force her voice out while she played the guitar. It was stupid, trying to delay the inevitable. But still, in the trial she had hoped that their combined effort to end the killing game would work, and then she wouldn't have to be executed. She was fine with death, but to be executed in such a brutal way? Hell no. She wasn't going to go down without a fight.
But... Fighting was hard. Especially when she was tired. Especially when she felt like breaking down. Especially when she saw one of the many others she cared about get slaughter in this brutal game. And by her, nonetheless.
That was why she hated it.
Because it was killing her.
Every time she struck the wrong cord, or hit the wrong note, the guitar would shock her. It hurt. A lot.
Was it not enough that she felt like an absolute idiot whenever she would mess up on stage?
I guess not.
The girls voice cracked as a volt of electricity jolted through her, which caused another shock to be sent her way. The music surrounding her was getting louder and louder. She felt as if her ears were going to explode.
She couldn't take it anymore.
Suddenly, as if a dam broke, tears started falling down her cheeks as she stopped. Stopped singing. And stopped playing.
She missed him.
The music kept getting louder, as she continued to take the volts of electricity. It was starting to burn. Her skin felt like it was on fire.
She missed all of them.
Her ears had started ringing from the music. The girl felt a warm liquid run down the sides of her head, out of her ears.
Music was killing her.
It was a nightmare.
Suddenly, she felt her body go stiff. Then, she dropped to the ground, burns littering her twitching body. She began thrashing violently on the ground until she went completely still.
She never moved again.
