i really needed to pass this chemistry test. my parents told me that if i don't pass this upcoming test, that i won't be able to rehearse with the band and we were going to perform for a concert later on in the month.

i really needed to be focused but i'm terrible at chemistry. after class ended, i went to go speak with my teacher.

"um, ms. tilme, i wanted to talk to you about my grade in your class and how i can improve,"i asked.

"ok luke, i'd say the best option is for you to get a tutor, i can definitely get you one by tomorrow,"she replied.

"that would be amazing, thank you,"i said and she nodded smiling.

"your welcome,"she said and i walked out, on my way to alex's house where everyone else was at already.

the next day, i walked into class and ms. tilme called me over. i walked over to her.

"good morning luke, i have gotten you a tutor or study partner, whatever you'd like to call it,"she said and i smiled.

"that's great! who is it?"i asked.

"julie molina, she is going to be sitting behind you from now on,"she said and pointed over to the girl with the curly brown hair. she looked absolutely beautiful.

"all right, thank you miss,"i said and walked over to my seat.

i looked at the brunette and she was pretty quiet.

"hey,"i said as i sat down, i turned around to look at her.

"hi, i'm julie, i'm going to be your new tutor by the way,"she said and i nodded.

"i know, she already told me, thanks for doing this by the way,"i said.

"your welcome, so when do you want to start doing this?"she asked.

"maybe later today?"i suggested.

"alright, perfect later it is,"she said and i turned back around.

as i was on my way home, i didn't realize that alex was driving by with reggie and bobby. they pulled up next to me.

"hey dude! when are you finally going to be off the hook from your parents?"bobby asked.

"once i ace the test i have this friday dude,"i replied and he nodded.

"alright cool, see you soon dude,"reggie said and they drove off. walking up to my door and entering my home.

my dad was at work and my mom, i could tell, she was going to start getting ready for work which meant in like another hour or so, i'll be alone.

"mom! i'm home!"i called out and she came running down the steps.

"hi honey! sorry i have to go back upstairs,"she said kissing my cheek and basically speeding back upstairs.

i walked over to my table and i started on my homework and i was already struggling. i had gotten julie's number during the school day so i sent her a message.

i sent her my address and she'll be here in 15 minutes. as i waited i made her and myself snacks to eat. then my mom came downstairs.

"okay honey i'm off to work!"she said and walked out until she shouted.

"LUKE PATTERSON!"she yelled and i sped over to her to see that julie had came, way quicker than i thought she would.

"mom, don't worry, julie is only my tutor,"i explained and she nodded.

"alright, have fun studying you two,"she said and she glared at julie.

"no funny business!"she yelled out once she got to her car.

"mom!"i called out.

as we studied, i tried my best to focus but my eyes were just focused on her. how focused she was into what she was doing, her beautiful brown orbs staring into the textbook.

"alright so what does this term mean?"she asked and i was just zoned out.

"i'm sorry what?"i asked and she sighed.

"luke, you really need to focus, let's try something else, how about we talk about what has been distracting you lately? if you don't mind?"she asked.

"no, not at all,"i lied.

"so, what were you thinking about?"she asked.

"i- uh, i was thinking about my friends,"i lied but she was able to see right through me for some reason.

"luke come on, it's ok, you can tell me,"she said.

"but i am telling the truth!"i lied again and i think she just went along with what i said.

"alright then, let's just continue the lesson,"she said.

after she tutored me, i was able to block out my distractions of her and i focused on the lesson.

once the day of the test came around, i felt as if i was really ready. once i walked in the classroom, i knew i was ready.

after the test, i was completely filled with anxiety and once i got the paper back, i smiled. i aced it!

after going home, i was really excited to tell my mom before she went to work but then once i got to my house, i saw julie. walked up to my porch.

"hey, i just wanted to say thank you,"i said and she smiled.

"your welcome but i wanted to tell you that i've been thinking about you for the past couple of days and i wanted to say that- i cut her off by kissing her cheek.

"i actually like you too, my tutor."
