I rushed over the fallen trees, a thin vine rose from the wreckage, its tip running alongside me morphed into a face.
"Excellent work with Elan," he said.
"Will she be alright?" He paused before replied.
"She will be in time, but those who come back change. They remember their time as a Monster, and those memories will never fade for as long as they live."
"At least she has gotten her body back."
"Yes right well, what the hell is happening? You know Devourers, don't you?"
"When we destroyed its original body, it must have prepared for its destruction, so before the battle, it fragmented a small part of itself, so it was not destroyed. The entirely of a Core-torn is alive, as for Wyrm-torn their consciousness, if you can call it that, is within every part of themselves.
"O that's totally utterly completely fair," he said back, I stared at his face.
"Sarcasm, I didn't mean it," he said whilst motioning his tip.
"So it is a lie?" I replied.
"Sorry, please continue."
"It must have taken control of that Controller and then seized control of Elan. It kept her body whole so that I would take longer as not to kill her," I said.
"Right right," Peter answered, "thank you fleshy Dragon zombie, for not killing her and making it so that we can save her," he said quickly, I sighed before continuing.
"It used her roar to get most of your Shifters to follow the path so it could devour them." "Please save them," Peter asked.
"I'll destroy its new body, but those that the Devourers eat they do not kill. They take their biomass, steal their muscles, bones and skin; they discard the rest. Their brains will be intact."
"So they'll be masses of organs along with their brain, and somehow not be dead. How on earth does that work!" He exclaimed.
"Something about their energy holding them together and those they devour absorbing that energy. But I must tell you something."
"It'll restore my babies and leave if we ask it really nicely?" Peter asked.
"Uhhh no," I lightly roared, "do you not take anything seriously?"
"Hey, live as long as I have, and you get kinda numb to dangerous situations, do you know how times who were raided by higher Dragons, along with Magic users and Shifters on the old world. It was a ton," he sighed, I did too and took a breath to keep myself from tearing him apart, but I stopped myself. I am sworn to follow him; this is just who he is.
"During our battle against the Wyrm-torn, I thought one of its Cannibals. Even though it devoured him, he did not hate it; feeling that he was saved through being changed. It was devoted absolutely to the Devourer, even willing to die a second time for it."
"So it already has its army," he said, "and we can't save them."
"I will have no choice, but to defend myself if they attack," Peter's face swayed.
"Put them out of their misery, please destroy it, I don't want to lose anymore," I noded.
"I will follow you until I die, besides two of yours saved my life, and they asked me to listen to you."
"So long as you want to," he replied.
"Want has nothing to do with it, we are bound to those who saved our lives."
"Well I wouldn't interfere, this is your battle."
"Indeed I want to destroy it for the abomination it is, and it wants me dead as I was there when it was last destoryed." I smiled in anticipation.
