"Well I'm originally from Maryland but I moved around a lot growing up. I'm studying to be a criminal justice attorney and I'm in my two years of college so I'm pretty happy about that honestly." Trinity paused as she smiled biting her lip."My mom always wanted me to study to be a doctor but my sister ended up taking up that dream which I'm glad because blood makes my head hurt." She shook her head and Anissa came over with two cake pops making Trinity smile. She bit into the snowman cake pop before moaning loudly at the delicious taste.
"Oh my god these are amazing" She said eating the rest of hers.
"You want mine?" Tobias asked her and she smiled nodding. He handled her his cake pop and she didn't waste no time eating the amazing dessert.
"So why are you taking care of Chris" Tobias asked looking at her as she finished the cake pops, putting the sticks on the dark brown table.
"My sister ended up getting married like two days before I officially moved down here. She's on her honeymoon right now so I offered to take of my nephew since I barely got to see him before I moved." Trinity shrugged her shoulders and finished her coffee, moving the mug out of her way softly.
"But tell me about you" Trinity said after a few minutes of silence. Tobias opened his mouth to say something when his alarm went off making him quickly pull out his phone to shut it off.
"Oh god I have to get to class" Tobias mumbled looking at the time. He stood up and Trinity looked down at her phone to see that she had three minutes to get to her class on time.
"Hey Noble I'll see you later man. Bye Anissa" Tobias said pulling out a twenty dollar bill out of his pocket. Anissa waved as she smiled while Tobias hurried out of the coffee shop.
"Bye it was nice meeting you both" Anissa smiled at Trinity's words and gave her a quick hug before waving her a bye. Trinity walked outside and hurried into her car before quickly starting it and driving off heading into the campus.
When Tobias left his last class of the day, he was extremely exhausted. He walked to his car and paused when he got in. Before he knew it, he was falling asleep in his seat.
A knock sounded on his window, waking Tobias up in a fright. He looked over to see Trinity frowning at him at his window. Turning his car on, he rolled down his window before looking at Trinity.
"Um I went to the daycare and Brie was still there so I wanted to make sure you were okay until I came back here and saw you sleeping in your car" Trinity explained in a small ramble. Tobias cursed when he looked down at his phone to see he was a hour late to picking Brielle Mae up.
Tobias couldn't believe he slept a whole hour in his car.
"Thank you" Tobias said to Trinity who sent him a small smile and nodded. She stepped away from his car walking back to his where Tobias could see a sleeping Chris in the back seat.
Tobias quickly reversed out of the parking spot and drove out of the parking lot heading straight for the day care. It was close to six and he knew Brielle was going to be very sad that he forgot to pick her up.
When Tobias got to the daycare, Brielle was sitting outside with a small pout on her face and the daycare lady sitting next to her with an irritated look on her face. Tobias hurried to park and walk over to the two of them. When Brielle saw him, her pout grew on her face before she slowly walked over to him.
"I am sorry bab-" Tobias was cut off by Brielle just grabbing his hand and making a small mhm sound as she kept her eyes on the ground. Tobias sighed softly and turned to the daycare lady who handled him Brielle's backpack sending him a small smile then frowned walking away.
Brielle didn't say anything for the car ride home, she only stared out the window as she held onto her back pack. Tobias tried to talk to her but she didn't reply only just nodded when he would ask her questions.
When they reached their home, Brie was quick to get out of the car and follow her father into the house. She went straight to her room and Tobias watched her with sad eyes.
"Brie baby do you want some dinner? I can make your favorite chicken nuggets" Tobias said peeking into her room to see her sitting on her bed looking through her back pack.
"I'm not hungry" she said softly but Tobias shook his head. He left her alone to make the chicken nuggets anyway since he knew she had to be hungry because the day care only gives lunch which was at noon.
Brielle walked out of her room at the smell of the chicken nuggets making Tobias smile a little. She sat down at the table and Tobias put a small plate of nuggets in front of her. They quickly said their prayers before Brielle began eating.
Tobias made sure to give her a small glass of apple juice since it was her favorite. Brielle ate in silence before drinking all of her juice.
"Brielle baby I'm sorry I was late to pick you up I didn't mean to hurt your feelings baby." Tobias said and Brielle looked over at him playing with her fingers nervously.
"It's okay Daddy" She said softly and went to go back into her room to get ready for bed but she stopped herself. She turned back around and walked over to her father before hugging him. Tobias smiled and returned the hug.
"Good night daddy" she said shortly after she pulled away from the hug. Tobias placed a kiss on her forehead and she walked back to her room to put her pjs on.
