To say that Tobias wasn't attracted to Trinity would be a lie.But what wouldn't also be a lie is that he didn't want to bring a woman into Brielle's life only to have her be hurt in the end.
Brielle Mae Olivia Reed was the most important thing in Tobias' life and he wanted to make sure that whoever he brought home to meet his precious Brie would have to be there to stay.
"So Brielle how are you liking day care" Trinity asked Brielle who was coloring a picture while sitting on her father's lap.
Brielle didn't answer Trinity's question, simply just ignoring her.
"Brie?" Trinity said softly and Brielle finally raised her head from her drawing to look at Trinity who simply smiled at her.
"Don't call me that only my daddy can call me that" Brielle said harshly making Tobias frown deeply.
"Brielle don't be rude" Tobias said and Brielle pouted her lips before returning to her drawing.
"Sorry" she mumbled softly as she paid attention to her drawing. Trinity didn't say anything as she bit her lip before looking down at Chris who was drinking the water their server gave him.
"You okay buddy?" She asked him who nodded his head and went back to her phone where he was playing games on it.
"Are you guys ready to order?" Marie, their server, said coming up to the table. Tobias glanced down at the menu before looking at Marie.
"Yes can she get the chicken tenders with apple juice" Tobias said before looking back down at the menu.
"And I want the grill burger with mushrooms and a side of fries." He finished off his order and Marie nodded writing down his order. She turned to Trinity who was looking at the menu.
"Oh I want the streak and cheese sandwich with mushrooms but can I have a Caesar salad instead of fries?" Trinity asked and Marie nodded.
"And then for him I just want the jr burger with a side of fries." Trinity said looking down at Chris who smiled.
"Okay if that's all I'll be back with your order in fifteen" Marie said and everyone nodded before she excused herself.
The table began to fall in soft silence and Trinity looked out the window to see people walking by laughing and Trinity's mouth grew into a small smile.
"So why did you move Trinity?" Tobias said suddenly and Trinity turned her attention to Tobias who sat Brielle down next to him instead of his lap like she was before. There was a booster seat to make sure Brielle could still reach the table.
"Maine was getting too boring to me and I missed my family so I decided to look at places near here. My sister was happy to finally be able to see me so I thought it would be a great choice" Trinity explained and Tobias nodded.
"Have you always lived here?" Trinity asked and Tobias shook his head.
"I use to live in California before I moved here for school" Tobias said and Trinity nodded. Chris tapped her and Trinity looked down to show him that someone was calling her.
Trinity looked at the caller I.D before groaning loudly.
"Excuse me" Trinity said answering the call before leaving the table heading outside. Tobias looked out the window to see Trinity stopping outside and talking to the person on the phone.
"What do you want" Trinity spoke harshly into the phone making the phone on the other of the phone to sigh heavily.
"Trinity I just want to talk" He said and Trinity rolled her eyes laughing at his stupid request.
"Oh shut up you just want to apologize even though you aren't truly sorry" She replied and he sighed again.
"I am sorry Trinity and I mean it" he said but Trinity shook her head not believing it.
"Oh shut up Roman you aren't"
"Trinity baby I-" Trinity cut him off by shouting "don't call me that stupid shit Roman" as she stomped her foot on the ground as her anger built inside of her.
"You right I'm sorry it's just a habit" He said in a defeated time with a big sigh. Trinity rolled her eyes and pulled her phone away her ear.
She pressed the end call button before shaking her head. Tobias watched Trinity which such an intense glaze before clearing her throat.
"Can you watch them" Tobias said to an older lady sitting across from Tobias's booth. She nodded and Tobias slid out of the booth hurrying outside to Trinity.
Tobias paused when he walked outside to see Trinity sitting on a small bench. Her head was down and she wasn't aware of Tobias's presence. Tobias notice how her shoulders moved as she shook her head repeatedly, talking to herself.
She was crying.
"Trinity" Tobias called out to her making her turn her head to look at him. Trinity had tears running down her cheeks as she sniffled sighing.
"I'm sorry I can't even believe I'm crying over that piece of shit" Trinity said chuckling even though she didn't find it funny at all.
Tobias didn't say anything as he sat down next to Trinity on the bench. Tobias didn't know exactly what to do when he wasn't the best person at comforting people.
Awkwardly Tobias wrapped his arms around Trinity and rubbed her back softly, patting it. Trinity laughed sensing that Tobias was feeling awkward by doing this.
She couldn't stop herself from moving closer to Tobias and laying her head on his shoulder as she sniffled loudly.
Tobias's eyes widened and the smell of her perfume invaded his nose but he didn't mind. He held her closer to him and she let out a small sigh as she continued to cry.
Tobias's next words shocked Trinity but eventually made her smile and snuggle into his side more.
"I'm here for you Trinity"
