Chapter 20

It was as if he was reborn, his eyes fluttered open with a start and he breathe in air eagerly. Anna who had her ear to his heart was startled by his movement. They held eyes, Kyle silently thanking her for getting him out of that dark place. Getting up Kyle looked at his surroundings sword slashes on trees, the ground angry that their fight woke it up from its slumber, the wind was settling from the excitement, and the blood was left on leafs on the ground where they fought.

Then his eyes settled on Nico he didn't look so bad the only broken or slashed thing was his leg everything else was fine. Anna's powers he thought. Nico, even though he was hurt, was ready to defend himself and Anna if Kyle attacked again. Kyle ashamed look at his hand like they weren't his but someone else. Like he done before he pushed all his emotions to the far end of his brain and focused on his mission to bring Anna to headquarters.

Turning his head from his hands to Anna then Nico Kyle said
"It time to go we are almost there"

"What about what just happen less then ten minutes ago!" Anna screamed while at the same time throwing her hands up.

Angered Kyle yelled back "It wasn't me,it was as if I was being controlled I would never hurt you!"

"How do I know, I barely know you!"

"Barely know me I have been with you ever since you were-" Kyle cut himself off remembering he can't talk about that or his life is done. So he said instead "We can talk about this later when that is not here!" Kyle motion his hand toward Nico.

"That! That is my friend that YOU almost killed and now he can't walk without help because of YOU!" Anna scream the last part louder then the rest.

"Look I'm sorry but we have to keep moving." Kyle said in the lower volume trying to get his composure back,

"Fine, come on Anna we should get going but if you, Kyle, try to kill us again. I will personally put a dagger in your heart." Nico told Kyle smoothly and sternly

Kyle putting his hands up said " Fine, lets get moving. Do you need help?"

"Yes but not from you"

With Anna help Nico was leaning on his good leg with one arm around Anna shoulder. The group kept walking like this until they were upon the building back entrance. Thats when Kyle turned and told Nico with a stern tone " From here on out I am going to carry you on my shoulders cause we are taking the stairs."

"Fine" Nico said annoyed

They went up the stairs Kyle with Nico on his shoulders were in lead and Anna was close behind them. Up and up they went until they reached level eight. Pushing open the double doors to level eight they went in, no one was around which was surprising this area was always in a commotion. Brushing it off Kyle lead them to the third to last door in the hall.

Opening it up the room was still as messing as Jake and Kyle left it before their mission. Placing Nico on the chair his back thank him in response. Kyle opened his mouth but once again felt his body collapse in on it self. Nico saw it and braced for another fight to break out in the tiny office. Anna who was still behind Kyle didn't see his was about to loose control again. Instead of run like her mind told her to do, Anna listened to her jut and placed her hand on Kyle back.

Relief showed on Kyle face and he thought Anna she can do something to stop the virus from taking over me I can to find out how she does it. Turning to thank Anna for helping him again, but at the same time Jake arrived. He looked ready to kill someone or did he already?

Hey people I am very sorry for the late update but one thing for sure I HATE EOC's! So hope you liked this chapter even though it's short once again I am sorry but the next chapter will hopefully be a long chapter. Until next time, bye!
