Chapter 16

A scream woke Nico from his dream-less sleep. It was Anna voice, he jump out of his bed only then did he realize he was in a bed and his wounds were heal. Doing a full 360 he observed his room, different from his own at his station. Average it was yet it could come off a good size bedroom. Nico snap out of his thought when he remember that he was going to Anna room. At the door his hand hovered over the nob, I do not know of this place, how would I get to where I want when I don't know anything here?

As in training he emptied his mind and focused on one thing, Anna. It was what high leveled warriors could achieve and he was one. Only then did he realize that the screams were not out loud but in his head, Anna was having a nightmare. He closed his eyes once again and imagined Anna presence. Nico mind after was like a radar guiding him to Anna room. Opening the door, his walking was in long strides. Determination showed on his face, not knowing a camera was following his every step.

The corridors were long and confusing to someone who had no training, a prefect way to flush out any enemy that came in. Finally, making it to Anna door Nico stalled there not knowing what to do. It was only when a scream heard not from inside his mind did he get out of his faze. Quickly opening the door Nico view Anna scared state. He was by her side in seconds, putting his hands on her shoulders. Nico look into her eyes, they were still seeing the nightmare.

Heart pumping, Anna barely noticed Nico holding on to her shoulders. Even though she was awake she could still see the images of those people calling to her and the flame that had a desire to burn her alive. Slowly they faded, Anna snap her head to Nico direction.

"I saw people, I saw pained people, they were calling to me, to me!"

"It's ok, it's okay your not in the nightmare anymore."

"I burned, a flame burned me."

Holding her head in her hands, the nightmare images were fading away but sound was still there haunting her. Nico placed his hand under her chin and lifted her head so that they were eye level.

"Its okay the nightmare over and sunrise is upon us. It's a new day so let's try to forget the dream."

She stared back, why she didn't answer was a mystery to her. Blowing out a breath of air she looked towards the window. The sun was coming in, shooing away the darkness from the room.

"I will meet you in the cafeteria, alright?" Said Nico

Looking back to him, Anna faked a smile and said "Yes I will meet you there"

Nico smiled back only his was not fake, a genuine smile. He left, Anna went to change then went on her mission to find the cafeteria without getting lost. That was not to happen, she forgot the directions she was given and wandered seamlessly thru the halls. She hit a dead end only a door was there, stomach grumbling she hoped it was the cafeteria.

It was not, no smell came from there, she should have turned back but something was luring her there. Two men having a conversation were inside the room. Putting her ear to the door to listen better did she finally hear what they were talking about.

"-Kyle! Why must you always disagree with me!"

"Why must you always be a prick!"

"You better be glad your my friend or you be dead by now"

"Yeah right."

"Can we please discuss what we are going to do"

"Yes but not now I think we might have someone listening behind the door"

Letting a cuss out in her mind, she ran to the hall and kept running till she was a good ways away but always keeping her feet light on the floor. Surprisingly she made it to the cafeteria.Back hunched and hands on her knees, she caught her breath before going in. Straightening her back and walking in as if she wasn't winded from her run. Looking around she saw where Andrew was sitting and walk over there. He was with some other people but once he saw her their conversation stop.

"Hey Anna" he said with a weak smile

"Hey so where do I get food?"

"Over there" He pointed over where groups of people were standing in a line. The rest of the table look at her as if she was the biggest idiot in the world.

"Thanks" With a smile she turn and walked away. Her ears were as of bat ears, she heard every word of the table Andrew was with. Her heart broke, her sadness over took her hunger. Quickly walking out the last thing she heard was from the girl at the table.

"Ha that idiot, she lost her way to get to the food line. Think you might need to guide her there Andrew." Then came the laughter from the table.

Anger infused with sadness she walked the halls with clenched fists. She didn't care no more of going to the planet, she could even be with that person Ryan being trap then here in this mad house. Hand flowing along the walls of the halls she walk and walk till in what looked like the exit door did she stop. Grabbing the nob, blowing air came thru, the alarm rang through every hall and room. The air grab at her skin pulling her to the edge. Looking down was her biggest mistake, below was nothing everything to small to even view. Her ears heard multiple heavy foot steps, running towards her. Slowly turning to face them, Nico was in front.

"Anna come from the edge."

Then Andrew came next to him instead of getting away from the edge she moved closer. Jake ran up to them too with a man high on heels.

"Anna come on move from there" said jake

The man that came with him said nothing but he showed fear in his eyes. Anna felt as she knew him but couldn't remember when.

"Anna come with me, everything will be okay" said Andrew. He held out his hand to her.

The last thing she said to him before jumping out was, " thanks for everything Andrew"

Looking Nico in the eyes she smiled then closed her eyes and fell backwards.
