Chapter 2

Anna slowly got up from her desk while everyone else was running to the exit like there was no tomorrow . The sub has long gone ditched the class to run for safely. Walking to the exit people shove and push her to get to the exit. She was halfway there when Andrew meets up with her.

"And the guy has the guts to call me a weakling." He said snickering

"He just looking for attention" Anna says rolling her eyes.

"Yea, I guess we have to a make a recheck to meeting a lunch"

"Haha yea I guess so. Should we go with the others"

"Nah, I'm thinking of going to the park. Want to come"?

"Sure it beats staying here in this chaos."

Anna and Andrew went out by the side door that leads to bike rack. They were heading to the park on Andrew bike. On the way to the park Anna counted 4 police cars, an ambulance, and a fire truck.

"It looks like someone call all of 911 to help with the fire"Andrew said

"Yea, but you know what that means. No school!!" Anna screamed

They were almost to the park when they past an alley, Anna saw him the guy that came to her house, why is he here?

At the park Andrew and Anna sat there looking at the sky watching the clouds fly by. Andrew turned to Anna and said

"Look, I learn this skill last night"

Standing a little back Anna saw him grab a rock and turn it into nothing more than a little pebble.

"Wow you can turn things smaller." She says sarcastically

"Very funny, you can't even master your fire ability " he says

"I have been practicing"

"Sure, last time you did your practicing," Andrew put air quotes around practicing," you almost burned my house."

"You said I could practice at your place. You should have known I wasn't good in flame control."

"Whatever just show me what you got"

Concentrating on the burn of the flame on her hand. She made a spark which rose high into the sky in beautiful waves.Two seconds later she dispersed the fire from her hand.

"See I have been practicing"

Andrew didn't say anything he just sat there with his mouth wide open.

"Better close your mouth before flies make it their home."

"Um... Er... Yea that was great Anna."

"Thanks."

Clouds were starting to come in a tremendous thunder rocked the trees awake.

"I'm gonna go, see you tomorrow Andrew."

"See ya Anna." Andrew said with a grin

As Anna ran to her house she passes the alley and doesn't give it a second thought until a hand grabs her and pulls her into the alley. She is thrown to the dead end wall and falls to the floor. Only to be picked up my a hand grabbing her neck cutting off her air. Almost to blacking out he drops her.

"Anna, Anna, Anna. Its been very hard to find you with you always moving."

"Who are you what do you want"?

"I did say I see you soon didn't I"?

Anna looked up to meet her capture eyes. He wore a coat, hat, and glasses all of all the same color black. He had pale skin and dirty blonde hair. By looks of the coat he held a gun in his coat pocket.

"What is it that you want from me?"

"Lets start off with the part that you have powers." he said circling her

"How do yo-" she was cut off

"It isn't that hard to figure out when someone does it in public. Like I was saying right your powers. You don't have a pack yet."

"A pack"?

"A group of people just like you that are each on different sides of the war.

"What war"?

"Your useless but we need more recuits. Take this card and call us when you are ready."

"Ready for what!"?

He was already walking away but at the edge of the alley he turn

"To fight for you think is right, to see your comrades die for war, and to have blood on your hands."

With that said the man vanish into the dark shadows of the city. Anna held the card to her face it was blank. She have burn it or threw into the dumpster next to her but she kept it.

She jumped and in the next minute was on the nearest roof top. The sun was still out but clouds would soon have the sky. Anna pulled out the card again and to her surprise it wasn't blank anymore.

"The sun" She whispered under her breath

There was only her name on the front side but flip it over and there was a simple yes or no on it. Yes or no? For me to join or for me to kill someone? There no number so how do I contact them?

She simply just shook her head and looked to the city below her. They were all just walking and driving around like little ants not knowing about the dangers that seek beneath the surface.
