Chapter 24

Anna ran to stop to the top of the stairs never breaking her stride. She made it to her room but could hear her 'family' coming to the door she started screaming as one after the other a thud was heard from her door. Anna looked around trying to find something to help her against them, nothing there was nothing only her bed. The window she had in her room wasn't there anymore  her closet vanished the only thing left was her bed. The wood started splitting more and more pieces started to come off there was now a small hole in the middle but it kept getting bigger. Couple more and they would be there after her, she had no escape. Anna backed to the very end of the room near the bed. She turned the bed over and used it as a shield, shielding her from the monsters behind the door.

A flash of silver caught her eye from the tip of her bed sheet. She moved closer the thuds becoming more and more loud. Ripping her bed sheet a silver sword dropped from under it. Anna looked closer there was only one letter on the sword on the center of the handle ; Z. Turning it over the blade it had designs that could mesmerize anyone who looked upon it. Near the handle the blade had fire carvings towards the tip it had wind drawings that merge together that made a oval shape. What caught her eye the most was the middle part of the blade inside the oval. It was a phoenix its wings spread out and its beak in a silent scream.

It was perfect weighed to her hand though she never held a sword it felt as if she was destine to have this sword in-front of her. She snapped out of her daze of the blade and looked to the door she started shaking; nervousness was eating her alive. They finally broke through the door. Her 'family' just stood at the door their eyes a black void, their skin looked as if it was falling apart, and what unnerved her was that they all were wearing smiles on their face as they looked towards her. Anna held the blade in-front of her the blade shook with her. She knew this was the end with all hope lost she backed to the wall the sword near dropping. Her 'family' moved towards her slowly but menacingly their smiles never faded.

Anna closed her eyes waiting for the blow to come for her to die by the hands of her copied evil family. It never came. The sword glowed brightly  the shadows in the room ran in fear. Then a voice in her head came to her it was a women voice "Don't be scared, let the sword take you. Don't fear, it never failed its mark." The sword dimmed her 'family' charged her but she felt no fear she met them head on as knowledge of sword fighting came her. She attacked as if it wasn't her first time holding her sword.

Blackness that's all he saw the pain in his shoulder wasn't there anymore but it felt like a pinch was there. Suddenly a bright flash came he was in the woods he walked and walked but it seemed endless. When he finally gave up heavy foot steps were heard in the distance closing in on him. Sprinting away as fast as he could the steps felt like earthquakes every time it hit the ground the monster blocked out the sun its shadow castes over him. A cliff came into  Nico knew he had no where to go. Nico looked over the edge of the cliff it was awful fall if he went over he wouldn't see tomorrow sunshine. Running back into the tree line he hid himself in the shadows of the tree and climbed onto a branch. 

A gold point was pointing out of a tree five trees to the east. Nico glided from branch to branch until he came to the tree. The gold point was further up scaling the tree Nico was focused on the gold point the giant monster no longer posed a threat in his head. He made it to the branch the gold point was coming from inside the vines ripping the vines by hand full, his hands started to bleed but didn't faze him. Finally in the center was a marvelous sword it had vine like carvings that spread all around the blade expect the middle where it was also oval shaped and had a raven in the middle of a broken earth and in the center of the handle was the letter Z.

The drawings contradicted the gold shine but it was an amazing sword Nico held the sword in awe it wasn't like the other swords he had used this one felt different. Then a man voice entered his mind "Stop staring there a giant right behind you and you stare at a sword!" Nico snapped out of his daze and jumped from the tree missing the fatal swing by inches. The tree went flying taking trees with it on its course. Nico free fall from to the ground seconds before he made it to the ground he flipped forward landing iron man style. Nico turned sharply avoiding the ax of the giant flat of his back Nico put the sword in front of him blocking the ax from cutting him in half.

The blade moved closer to his neck almost touching it. That's when the sword glowed bright gold the brightness *Boom* the giant flew backwards several feet. Nico stood the sword slowly dimming but the power form the sword could still be felt. The man voice came back "Move quickly the giant might have strength but you have speed use it to your advantage." With that the voice disappeared again leaving Nico glaring at the giant before he charged with sword and head held high.

Anna eyes turned deadly her sword held at an angle her stance ready to face any thing thrown at her. They attacked their hands in a claw shape with sharp edges at the tips. Anna ducked the first swipe then thrust her blade upward slicing the monster in half before it turned into a dark dust. Rolling out of the punch thrown at her she leaned her body back then toward with all her weight ducking the another swipe while also swiping another monster clean in half. Only her fake twin siblings stood in-front her their eyes looked even danker.

They started shaking all of a sudden both bodies merged together forming one evil demon. It was her sibling but in an evil version its eyes glowed even darker, their height barley missed the ceiling, and the claw like hands grew in size. Anna stood her outward appearance showed no fear but inside she felt like fainting the sword gave her pulses as if it was trying to calm her down slowly it did until the monster roared then spoke its icy voice crawled up her spine making her shiver involuntary. 

"So you think your so powerful with that sword of yours this time we won't lose, this time you will be begging for mercy, begging to not die. We will meet again Anna or should I say phoenix." 

The monster grinned evilly before  vanishing. Anna stared at the spot before she smelled smoke. Looking around the walls where on fire its fiery licks of flame slowly was making its way to her. The door was gone, everything was gone, the fire moving to her only increased. It made a tight circle around her causing her to bring tears to her eyes and a choking feeling in her throat. That's when the fire met her, her screams filled the room as a unknown evil laugh sounded then it spoke through her screams.

"Join us little Phoenix you won't be able to survive this. You can't even handle little flames. Join us and you won't have to run anymore, you won't have to hide anymore, you will be on top burning away your enemies. This is just a taste of what we could do. Choose your next words wisely little Phoenix."

Anna couldn't handle the flames anymore they were burning her alive. She wanted to give in to let the burning stop. The voice came to her " Anna you can do this. Don't let your fear overcome you. You were born for greatness. Choose wisely Anna."

"I-I ch-choose....."

Hello Wattpad people. New chapter is finally here! :D I'm not done with re-writing the chapters I am on chapter 15 but eh I will continue to write while redoing the chapters.
