Hey guys. Sorry it's been a while since I last updated. I have been trying to work on some of the my other stories as well and I had midterms last week so everything has been crazy.
Anyway here is another chapter finally.

Lily's POV
I watched as Sam walked up to me, butterflies filling my chest. I was really nervous for this. I couldn't really be in long lasting relationships, my wings prevented that. There were always too many questions, too many lies, and I had never found anyone worth telling about them so it always ended badly. So to be completely honest, I wasn't looking forward to the end of tonight. I had no idea what would happen, but given my luck, it would be bad.
James nudged me, "Thats him, right?"
"Yeah" I replied.
"Hey Lily!" Sam said, glancing between me and James.
"Hey. Um bye James." I said, turning to give him a quick hug.
"Bye Lily." He said as he turned to head off into the carnival.
"So ready to go?" I asked Sam.
"Yeah!" He said happily.
We turned and walked towards the entrance. When we got to the ticket booth I reached into my pocket to pay but he bought me a ticket before I could stop him.
"Oh thanks for getting me a ticket." I said.
"Its no problem, I did invite you here after all"
I smiled at him, he was so sweet. I wanted this to work.
"so what do you want to do first?" He asked.
"ooh can we go on the swings??" I exclaimed, pointing towards my favorite ride.
The line was really short and soon we were sitting on two swings next to eachother waiting as the attendent made sure everyone was securly in the seats.
I bounced up and down in the chair.
"you really love this ride don't you?" Sam asked, chuckling as he watched me.
"yeah, I've always loved it since I was a kid. Its the first ride my brothers and I ever went on!"
"Hey Lily!!" I heard a voice call from outside the fence.
I turned to see James standing there.
"Hey James, long time no see!" I said and he laughed, waving as he continued on.
"Sorry to ask but who is he?" Sam said from next to me.
"Oh, James is my twin brother."
"Ah, I thought you guys looked similar but I wasn't sure."
It might just have been me, but I swear he had seemed jealous but before I could dwell on the thought for too long the music began playing and the ride lifted off the ground and we were spinning.
I laughed happily as the ride picked up spead and the chairs flew outwards towards the fence. It reminded me of when I was flying except that for here, on the ride, I could enjoy the feeling of flying with everyone else and not just by myself. I was at peace, sitting here, flying through the air with Sam at my side. For a second I forgot about my wings and the problems they brought with them and I was happy.
