Part 21- Highschoolers

You had been having nightmares while Spencer was gone. It was Wednesday morning and you were walking into the school.

"Morning y/n, how has your morning been? I actually don't care. How is Spencer?" Aubrey said as she walked down the hall.

"It was fine before I ran into you and Spencer is fine, thanks." You roll your eyes and unlock your classroom.

"That's not nice." You hear someone laugh behind you. A male voice. It sounded familiar. You turn around to see Daniel standing behind you.

"No way! Is it really you Daniel? I haven't seen you since college! What are you doing here?" You see Aubrey roll her eyes and stomp away from the corner of eye.

Daniel was another college best friend who actually had the same major as you. He ended up moving to another state because of some fancy school's job offer.

"I actually got transferred schools. I can't believe you work here too!"

"Oh yeah, I totally forgot that Mr. Wilson quit after his wife had another kid! That means that your classroom is to the right of mine! Now, tell me how you've been? Are you still seeing Neil?" You were so happy that Daniel was going to be working with you. You had missed him so much

"I actually broke up with him. We just both wanted different things."

"I'm so sorry Daniel.." you frown.

"Oh it's fine, it was like a year and a half ago. Who was that girl who stomped away?" Daniel laughs.

"That was actually-" You are interrupted by your phone ringing. It was Spencer.

"I'm so sorry, I have to take this. I promise that I will introduce you to everyone at recess!"

"It's alright!" Daniel reassures you as you make your way into your classroom and answer the call.

"Hey angel, long time no talk." Spencer sounds tired.

"Are you okay? When did you sleep last?" You worried.

"I... not since Monday morning... what about you? Are you having nightmares?"

"Actually, no, I've been sleeping pretty good." You lie. Spencer already had enough to deal with, you didn't want him to have to worry about you as well.

"Y/n... I love you so much, I hope you know that. You can tell me if you are." He was skeptical of your answer.

"I... I love you too Spence, I have to let my students in. I'll call you later."

"... okay y/n, I love you, bye." You say goodbye and hang up. You let your students in and start class.

You and Daniel make your way to the teacher's lounge. Walking in, you first introduce Daniel to Bethany.

"It is so nice to meet you Bethany!" Daniel says kindly. You see Bethany blush, not knowing that Daniel is gay.

"Next is Carter." You gesture to Carter who is getting a soda from the vending machine.

"Hey man, I'm Carter. You must be Daniel, you are the talk of the school. You have some big shoes to fill! Mr. Wilson was one of the favorites." Carter laughs.

"Let's hope that I can fill them!"

"And you've already met Aubrey. She's terrible." You whisper into Daneil's ear. He tried not to laugh because Aubrey was staring at us.

"I have a terrible headache girl!" Daniel runs his temple.

"Come with me and I'll show you where the nurse's office is." You lead Daniel to the nurse's office and knock on the door. Two people say come in at the same time. A male and female voice.

"Hey guys, this is Daniel! He's the new teacher. He has a headache, can we get something for that?" You ask Valarie and Sam.

"I can get you something!" Sam walks into a closet with the medicine and some other stuff.

Daniel leans in and whispers in your ear "Not gonna lie, Sam is hot." You let out a snicker.

Sam walks back with some medicine and some water to take the pill with.

"Hey guys, did Carter talk to you guys about going out with the staff this weekend?"

"No, but I would love to come because I have nothing to do this weekend." Valarie groans.

"Me neither!" Sam says cheerfully as he sits at his desk.

"Awesome! It's a date!" You make your way back to the lounge.

"I should probably head back to the office!" Bethany skips off down the hall.

"I will never understand her." You laugh and shake your head.

After you eat, you leave Daniel to get to know everyone, and you head back to your classroom.

On your way down the hall, Bethany pokes her head out of the office.

"Hey, someone needs you down in the high school. Room 153 I think. I don't know who but they just called up and asked for you."

"Umm... okay thank you Bethany." You turn around and make your way to the high school.

You walk into the room and see a room full of high schoolers. Turning to the teacher's desk, you start giggling to yourself. You pull yourself together and decide to play along.

"Dr. Reid? You called for me? What can I help you with?" You walk through the rows of desk to the teacher's desk where Spencer is sitting. You see that almost every single girl is drooling over Spencer.

"I actually need to talk to you outside." Spencer says calmly. You follow Spencer out of the classroom.

As soon as you get out of the classroom, Spencer pulls you into a kiss. He doesn't stop kissing you till you almost run out of breath.

"What are you doing here Spence? I thought you were on a case! Please don't tell me that you came home without finishing the case just to see me! I mean I'm flattered but... don't do that!"

"No, we finished the case last night but I really badly wanted to surprise you!" He was being so cute.

"That's so sweet Spence!" You pull him into a kiss.

"So, are you going to be substituting for the teacher of this class or are you going to come hang out with me in my classroom?"

"The teacher is actually supposed to be back in a couple of minutes. He had a dentist appointment."

"Okay Dr. Reid, don't take too long. Also, I hope you know that all of the girls in there are in love with you." You smirk.

"And I hope you know that all of the guys in there are in love with you." Spencer laughs.

"Okay, I've got to get back to my class. See you there." You go to walk away, but you realize that you had set down your coffee on the desk in Spencer's classroom. Walking in, you make your way to the teacher's desk.

"I left my coffee." You say simply. You lean down and kiss Spencer. You knew that you were bugging every single student in the classroom.

"Shit y/n... just you wait till tonight." Spencer says so that everyone in the class can hear. You hear murmuring around the classroom. You laugh lightly and make your way back to your classroom to wait for Spencer.
