I was speechless when he said his parents is the King and Queen of the lycans I couldn't believe it.

I've heard stories about them and of course I've also heard the stories about Prince Damon the next in line for the throne.

He's been looking for his mate for years now and it's been said that if he didn't find his mate before his 25th birthday then he his parents would find him a chosen mate

The thought of someone else standing beside my mate for the rest of his life made me growl and huff out.

The four lycans in the room gave me a look when they heard me growl. And Aiden asked an unvoiced question.

How can you growl like that?

I looked at Lilly to not say anything.

I told her never to tell anyone about me being a shifter.

It can cause Alphas from packs to chase after me to force me into mating with them.

As much as I hate the thought of lying to my mate like this.

I just don't think I'm ready to tell him this secret yet

Especially since he can still reject me at any minute.

His parents could think I'm not worthy enough for their son and make him reject me for the right to the throne.

And that would of course hurt like hell

but with the help of my wolf I think I could withstand it without having to find a new mate

And even if they knew I was a shifter they could still object to our mating then it would also be made public that a female shifter was rejected by her mate and it would be like open season on me.

Every Alpha in the world would probably be looking for me to either mate with them or one of their sons.

I was so busy thinking that I didn't feel Damon slip his hand around my waist and pull me close to him.

I looked up and shrugged my shoulders look away and say.

I don't know what you're talking about.

You must be hearing things.

Aiden rolled his eyes and said.

OK fine don't tell me just yet.

But you will eventually tell me. After all I'm your bestfriend.

He smiled big and winked as he said this

Now it was my turn to roll my eyes and asked.

Since when did you become my bestfriend?

Damon shook his head yes putting in his two cents as well.
