Chapter 9
Everyone stood shocked at the Queens outburst.
My heart hammered in my chest out of fear.
I know he wants me but if he listens to his mom then he will have a new mate soon.
I held back my tears as I tried to let go of Damon but he held me tightly to himself.
His mother just glared at me harder as she seen her son cling to me and her body started to shake like she was about to shift.
The King just stood there without saying anything.
He watched me and waited
I don't know what he was waiting for though
I felt Aiden walk up close beside me and even Kai stood close but I think he only did that to protect his Queen if I was to do something stupid.
I wasn't planing on doing anything. If she kicked me out I could do nothing because she's the Queen of the Lycans and I'm a lowly rogue mutt in their eyes.
I felt a small hand grab the back of my shirt and I looked down to see a very scared Lilly and I had to clinch my jaw to keep from voicing my irritation at the Queens actions.
I gave Lilly a reassuring smile.
But that action must have made the Queen reach her limit because I then hear the sound of cracking bones and when I looked back there stood the Queen in her lycan form.
The king stood back silently.
I guess he wasn't worried that she could get hurt.
A: because I'm a wolf
B: because he thinks I'm a non shifter female
the royals have profiles of all female shifters
and most female shifters like to flaunt that they can shift
And C: even if did fight back then I'm sure Kai Damon and Aiden would step in. Not to mention all the security they have hidden around here.
They think I can't sense them but I can.
She started to stalk closer but Damon let out a warning growl as he took a protective step in front of me
before saying something so shocking that I could even hear some of the hidden security gasp.
MOTHER IF YOU EVEN SO MUCH AS TOUCH A HAIR ON HER HEAD I'LL RIP YOU TO SHREDS!
His father then growls at him.
I started to get a little scared for my mate. He may be able to take on one at a time
but if both of them was to come at him at the same time then he could get seriously injured.
I know they wouldn't kill him
