Spells and Curses

Chapter 33

Queen Emilia immediately put a charmed necklace on me to keep me from being teleported again when she's not with me.

After giving her thanks

we had received confirmation that the Demon Queen had been rescued and is on her way here.

The demon King looked a little tense but somehow relieved that his mate was on her way.

We sent Aiden to escort them the rest of the way,

When they finally made it to us the demon King was practically shaking as he held his bruised and severely malnourished mate in his arms.

She began to weep as she held him close.

When I looked up and took a deep breath.

We need to get started on a plan of action and we also need to find the demon Prince before something bad happens to him.

A few grunts and nods of agreement and we started our search.

Taking something personal of the Prince's we was able to determine he was in Russia.

Fearing that we would be too late to get to him in time if we took a plane so we called the Alpha of the Temnyy Volk pack.

They are an allied pack of ours.

With the information and description of the young Prince they was able to help us out.

Leaving the Demon King and Queen behind to get treatment for her wounds we began making our way back to the place I was held captive.

Once we get inside we need to first cut off any escape route that Annabelle could take.

Emilia said she pointed to the side of the old looking building and said.

That's gonna be our entryway but once inside we need to be cautious of everything.

I'm sure she's put spells and curses on certain items.

Damon then asked.

How do we know what might be cursed or where a spell might be cast?

She looked around before grabbing a rock and a stick that was laying near by,

After making sure there wasn't anyone near us she drew a small pentagram with the stick and place the rock in the middle she whispered a word and the rock started to glow before it went back to almost normal, there was some crystallization on it

The color of a light purple

Thinking back I remember reading in one of the books Emilia gave me about spells that if a malicious spell is cast on an inanimate object then that object will come out different

With it Being turned slightly to a crystallized form,

And the more dangerous the spell is on that object the darker the color will be.

Emilia explained what to look for and showing an example of a spell.

The spell I just cast is an alarm spell it is set to alert me if anyone is to touch it other than myself,

This type of spell will usually be set around a object that has been cursed.

So as soon as you pick up the cursed object you will be close enough to make the spell alarm alert the spell caster

The way to tell if an object is cursed is also with the coloring of the object and the fact that you start to feel this unexplained need to obtain said object.

If you began to feel like an obsession to keep the object then don't even go near it.

Not all cursed objects are dark in coloring if the curse is something like giving acne or really bad gas it can be lighter in color

Then Ronaldo also cautioned everyone as well

I say this just in case you think it's OK to grab something to keep because it's not a dark color.

And also the closer you are to a curse the more influence the curse will have on you and it will be harder to fight to stay away from it.

We nodded as we listened and when Aiden pipped in.

So... We should avoid everything and we will be golden?

Emilia nodded and said

Yes that would be are best bet.

After the lesson on curses and spells

We made our way stealthily to the side of the building to enter.
