The two friends started running off towards Purah so as to catch up to her. But nonetheless Purah was the first one to the laboratory. She was practically jumping up and down in her excitement outside the main door of the large building. The Sheikah research center in Kakariko was not nearly as well known as the other ones in Hateno or Akkala. But it was very important nonetheless. It was a two story building, and was more separated from the other buildings and houses of the village, so if anything ever went wrong, no other structures would be damaged. It was built like any other Sheikah structure in Kakariko, the designs and colors were all the same. The one thing that did stand out about the building however, was that there was a curious looking statue of what appeared to be a frog wearing glasses decorating it.

The intriguing frog statue was placed right over the two main doors and had a red Sheikah eye painted on the front of it. Everytime Link ever saw or walked past one of these 'Sheikah frog statues with glasses' as he called them, he couldn't help but chuckle. The very idea of one of the highly esteemed Sheikah inventors putting a statue of a frog on top of their lab then delicately placing funny looking glasses on top of it always made him laugh a little.

"Come on you two! Hurry up!" Purah urged as she stood outside the two main doors. Impa convinced Link to walk with her as slowly as possible to the building to get on Purah's nerves. And it was working.

"You're both so painstaking slow! You two are doing it on purpose, aren't you?!" Purah called out in desperation.

Impa smirked, "Maybe."

Link laughed, "Alright come on Impa, she's waited long enough. Purah looks like she's about to burst."

Impa smiled smugly, "Now that I would like to see."

Link tried his best to hold in his laugh but failed miserably, "Impa!"

"Alright, alright. I'm moving faster, we're practically there anyway. Don't give me that look Purah, you know that was kinda funny."

Impa and Link walked up to the two large doors and Purah grabbed the handle to one and swung it open proudly. Impa walked in with an already bored look on her face but Link starred with his mouth open.

"Woah, I've never been in a Sheikah lab before! It's so, uh, smart looking!"

"Isn't it the coolest place ever?" Purah answered back with an excited smile, clearly pleased that Link was impressed.

Link nodded and took the sight in. It was pretty empty at the moment, except for two sheikah researchers who were both looking over the same table in deep discussion. The lab seemed to be one big room, with a staircase to the side leading up, but to where Link didn't know. The room had many bookshelves neatly lined up against the back wall, each filled with books. The room had two windows, yet still had a dim lighted appearance. Several tables were set up, and on top of them were scattered with pictures, drawings, blueprints, different assorted tools and pieces of ancient technology. Some parts of the walls were covered in papers with different sketches and writing. The writing was mostly written in the Sheikah language so Link, who was still new to the language, could only understand bits and pieces of it.

When the door slammed behind Purah since she was too impatient to let it close slowly, the two researchers standing over the table in the back of the room jumped up in surprise. Their eyes shot towards the three kids standing in the front of the lab. Now that the two were facing them, Link looked them over to see if he could possibly recognize either of them. They were grown women, both looking to be younger, probably in their early thirties. Both were obviously Sheikah, with the classic gray hair and traditional Sheikah clothing. One was very tall and lean, with short and messy hair. She at first seemed to be slightly upset that she was suddenly interrupted, but when she saw who interrupted her, her face softened into a gentle smile. Her companion was much shorter and wore glasses. She also was upset at being unexpectedly disturbed, but smiled at the children nonetheless.
