Link readjusting to living like a Shiekah wasn't as hard as he first anticipated. After a week of living in Kakariko he came to love his new home. He was much more quiet than usual, and was very gloomy. He was still mourning, and his new family completely understood. Cato and Akilah put Impa and Purah in charge of cheering him up, but soon learned that leaving him to himself and letting him come out of his shell on his own was the best route. Link was never close to Impa and Purah's loving parents, but he came to love them and learn more of them with each passing day.

He was given the guest room as his new bedroom. Much to Impa's disappointment. Link remembered very clearly when his new room was announced.

"So mom, where will Linky sleep?" Purah asked curiously.

Before Akilah had a chance to answer Impa spoke up, "What if I take the guest room and Link moves in with Purah? Now before you shoot this idea down let's consider it for a sec-"

Akilah laughed, "Absolutely heckin not Impa. Link will be taking the guest room. How does that sound to you Link?"

Link gave her a grateful look, "That's just fine with me. Thank you."

Akilah nodded, "Don't even mention it. We are all very glad to have you here with us."

As Akilah walked out of the room Purah elbowed Impa, "Ha! You thought you could get rid of me now did ya? You can't get rid of me that easily!"

Impa rolled her eyes and gave Purah a sore look before walking away, only to be followed by her sister to be further teased.

It didn't take Link too long to unpack his belongings, as there were very few of them. He pondered how long his few Hylian clothing outfits would last him. His room was smaller, but to one young 11 year old it was a very appealing size. A small, red Sheikah talisman was tied to the doorknob. A small bed was put against the wall, and there was a wooden desk with a candle on top of it and a wooden chair to go with it. There was a narrow closet, which Link put his favorite weapons in and decided that he would store all of his larger belongings such as his swords and bows in there. He neatly folded and put away his few clothing articles in the medium sized drawer. A clean mirror hung over the desk, but Link's favorite part of the room was the window that gave him a clear view of the village. He was happy to find that someone already put up blinds to go with it. He admired the royal blue colored cloth used for the blinds as he lightly ran his fingers over the soft material.

Link took out his father's royal guard cap and his mother's Hylian crest necklace and placed them gently on the blue covers of his new bed and pondered where to put his treasured items. He could feel himself grow teary and shaky just looking at them. He decided to put them on top of his drawer. He felt they were safest there, on a high point where he could always see them.

Link was suddenly snapped out of his sad trace by a knock on the door which he had left open. He turned around to see Cato standing outside the doorway. Cato wore a gentle smile and moved his short, messy gray hair out of his face with one hand, while the other hand held something behind his back, "Hey buddy, do you mind if I come in?"

Link managed a smile and nodded his head yes.

"Great. I see you moved in quickly, although I suppose you didn't have too much to unpack. Don't worry about not having enough clothes, I'll take you clothes shopping soon. It'll be fun! You'll be dressed in regular Sheikah clothing though, I hope you don't mind. That's all our shops carry."

Link's face brightened considerably, much to Cato's relief, "Oh thank you! I was worried about that honestly. I won't mind wearing Sheikah style clothes, I've always kinda wanted to try them out!"
