Fight after fight. Day after day. Sparring match after sparring match. Win after win. Loss after loss. Training session after training session. And eventually, the weeks bled into months. Before he knew it, Link was only a few months away from turning thirteen years old. Ever since he had first started his new training with Impa and Cato, Link completely devoted himself to his work. As hard as his tough beginning was, he got stronger and adjusted as time moved on. Before he knew it, he could run the full five miles in the morning, and get through his evening drills with much more ease. Even though he never consistently beat Impa or out ran her, he certainly did push her and force her to try significantly harder then she did before when she only trained with her father.

Cato was very proud of them both, eager to push them harder to strive for perfection, despite their younger ages. He knew very well of their great potential, and with the menacing threat of the inevitable return of Calamity Ganon ever looming over Hyrule, he knew that the fair land was in dire need of rising heroes. As hard as he worked in Central Hyrule, he always made time to work with his two committed 'trainees'.

On the other hand, Purah strove hard for progress as well. Despite her young age of fourteen, she possessed striking brilliance and creativity. Her knack for the technology she studied and worked on impressed all those around her. Akilah couldn't possibly be more pleased. "A daughter after my own heart," was a remark she made often, with a clearly gratified tone. Purah spent most of her time with her mother in the small research lab in Kakariko, offering as much assistance as she possibly could. The longtime assistants to the head researcher Akilah, Katara and Lana, couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. Before Purah, they were held responsible for many of the great discoveries the smaller lab had made, but now, they seemed to be in the young girl's shadow. But with her eccentric eagerness, they couldn't stay sore at her for long.

Yet no matter how devoted and hard working, no matter how much the 'mostly Sheikah' family strove for their greatest, Hylia serving potencial, they always found time to sit back and enjoy a break. To savor the sweet moments life had to offer despite the unnerving times.

"If you think you're wearing my nice gray linen shirt to the festival tomorrow you're outta your mind sister!"

"Oh is that so? What if I am? What are you gonna do about it, huh?"

"Just give it back Purah! I'll even help you pick out an outfit, but you aren't wearing any of my stuff."

"Ha! So now we have a deal! I'll give you your lame shirt if you help me pick an outfit."

Impa smiled and rolled her eyes, "Yeah yeah I get it. Although I feel like you just wanted me to help you pick something nice to wear, but was too nervous to straight up ask. So instead you decided to make everything harder than it needed to be, thus stealing the shirt I planned on wearing, so I would be forced to follow your bargain without having to worry about your own insecurities."

Purah giggled, "Gee no need to call out my master plan like that. In my defence, the annual village Twilight Festival is tomorrow, and it's only once a year, so I want to look nice."

Impa nodded and started going through her sister's clothes, while Purah sat on the bed and watched. Even though she was almost fifteen, she still occasionally relied on Impa's advice when it came to choosing proper attire for special occasions.

Link, who had been listening to his two 'sisters' fight over their clothes from his room, decided he would take his book downstairs in hopes of a more silent background. Since his room was so close to theirs, everytime they got loud he got to hear every bit of it. So he reluctantly got off his bed and walked down the hallway, but not without sticking his tongue at the two girls as he passed their open door.
