It's been a week, and Sam has been barely saying anything. The funeral was yesterday. On Friday. Today, Sam was dragged out of her room by Nikki, who was with Andrew. Sam wanted to pretend to be strong, but she just couldn't.

Nikki was able to borrow Lily's car to drive them to ice cream shop out of town. Andrew was very quiet, but Sam didn't like the quiet that surrounded them.

"So, what did I miss in school?" Sam asked, stabbing her ice cream.

"Well, nothing much. Synder hasn't been such a jack lately." Andrew said, before he got a punch to the shoulder by Nikki. Sam crack a smile, and looked at the ice cream.

        "What about Cole?"

Nikki looked down at her own ice cream, and Andrew didn't answer either. Sam spoke up.

"Did I miss something?" Sam asked, looking at Nikki.

"Cole was just playing you, but he didn't want to break your heart at the dance, not with what happened. Maybe he's not such as a player than I thought." Nikki said.

Sam dug her spoon further into the icecream, out of pure rage. She wasn't sad about it, well she was sad that she had fallen for Cole's looks like everyone else had. She should have listened to the warnings. Instead she ingored them. How could she be so dumb?

"Cade had finally grown a pair and asked Cora." Nikki said, and Sam's mood lightened.

        "Finally!" Sam said.

"Yeah, Mason and Kenzie are still going but are lacking dates. They don't care though."

"They never do." Sam said, dugging out her spoon and taking a bite out of her icecream. Sam had finally started to lighten up more, but Nikki noticed that she was still in pain. She wasn't surprised. It would take a long time to get her out of the funk Sam was in.

After a lunch and a day shopping, Nikki dropped Andrew off, before dropping Sam and car off and walking home. Which was like 4 doors down. Sam walked in and Lily herself was happier, but Lily was hiding her pain, for Sam's sake.

"Hey, Sammy." Lily said. Lily rarely used Sam's other nickname. This one was from when she was little kid. Sam called Lily, Lil' and Lily called Sam, Sammy. Sam smiled a bit more and walked over to the couch, putting on and old favorite of their's. The Lion King.

Yes, it was childish, but Lily and Sam felt like being childish. Zack had to go home, so it was just Lily and Sam. Their Aunt Tina were filing papers. Lily was 18 years old, and could take care of Sam and herself. Zack even said he would help in any way he could.

Lily had gotten a job, and was working it when she wasn't at school. Sam focused on the make-up work Nikki had brought home under Sam's request. Even though Nikki said it wouldn't be a great idea. Sam was stuck in her ways, and wanted something to get her mind off of the quietness of the house. That would bring back painful memories of how Lily understood something was going down between their parents, and Sam was to blind to see it.

Their parents were spilting up, before the crash.

Sam had also gained nightmares, of what happened. Everytime, was like the night before. She would in the car, and she would walk the scene. Seeing horrid images of twisted bodies of her parents. Even the dead driver, who she never knew how he had looked.

The driver didn't make it. Though, Sam wished he did. So he could see the pain of his choice. That cost her parents life. That choice that brought her world down.
