Sam woke up, from what seemed to be yelling. Her parents were going at it. Sam growled to herself, getting up from the bed, that had no frame, and no boxstring. Which means, it was a pain to get up this morining.

Sam had just started basketball on her eighth grade year. She had a great chance of becoming a starter, but she would rather Maddie or Cora taking ponit guard. She hated that they were fighting for it last year. Well, Sam and Cora were fighting for it. Sam would gladly give it away for a wing.

She grumbled and opened up her drawers. Her gym bag was already packed, and in Lily's car. Sam took out a pair of jeans, and a tee-shirt. Which she changed into. The tee gripped her curves, which she didn't like. So she slipped on the warm up sweat shirt.

Sam went out of her room and saw Lily with a cup of coffee.

"Make me a to-go cup, please?" Sam asked, heading towards the bathroom.

"Yeah, hurry up please." Lily said, heading back down the stairs. Sam went into the bathroom and finsihed getting ready. Sam walked out of the bathroom and saw Lily holding her school books, and the coffee. Sam took the coffee and headed down stairs.

"Did you do your homework Sam?" Lily asked, following close behind her little sister.

"Didn't have any." Sam said, opening the door. There was some snow falling. It was early for snow, so this was weird. Sam shivered and made her way to the car. She hopped into the car, and Lily drove them to the school.

"Stay out of trouble." Lily said, as they walked into the school. Passing the victory bell, which Sam was so hopeful to ring this year. They had their first game today, and her being sore from extra training wasn't going to help there case. It was a simple game, the weakest team they knew.

It still worried her if this soreness would let up by the end of the day. It could bing down the six man team. When Sam walked to her normal breakfast table, she saw Nikki, her friend. That shipped people like there was no tomorrow. There was a new kid there. A boy with dark hair.

Sam sat beside Nikki who was going on about the new kid. The kid just nodded, but his glance would shift from Nikki to the unknowning Sam. Sam was to busy looking at what Nikki had given her.

"What did you do to it?" Sam asked, looking at her favorite juice.

"Nothing, I swear. I just got it from the line." Nikki said, grumbling. Before going back to the new kid.

"So, this is Andrew. Andrew Caras. He came here from Britain."

"Hullo." Andrew said, looking at Sam.

"Hello." Sam said, before opening her juice and drinking it. Andrew sighed, and started to mess around with a pencil. Nikki smiled.

"Andrew and Sam, sitting in a tree." Nikki started, before Sam started to cough really hard. She had swallowed the last bit of her juice wrong when Nikki had started. Andrew had looked up, before quickly getting up and moving.

"My god! Hell no! I don't know him!" Sam protested.

"Just messing around!" Nikki said, getting up. The Bell had rang.
