Sam was sitting at the egde of the room. She was watching everyone have fun, Nikki was asked to dance by a boy, who was cute and from her grade. Sam didn't know his name. Maddie and Willaim danced mostly and same with Cora and Cade. Cora and Cade seem very cute together in Sam's eyes.
Sam wore a smile, though she felt alone. Even Kenzie and Mason were happy on the dance floor. Then Andrew came over and sat beside her. Andrew seemed unhappy himself. He really wanted to ask Sam something, but he didn't know how she would react.
Sam looked at him, and her smile grew. Andrew smiled back, and Nikki came over, with Britteny trailing her.
"Hey, guys. What's up?" Sam asked, looking at Andrew. Andrew rubbed the back of his neck.
"Could I have a dance?" Andrew asked, looking at the ground. Nikki and Britteny covered their mouths to muffle their fangirl screams.
"Sure." Sam smiled, she wondered if Andrew had sometype of feelings for her. Of course, there would be, why else would he ask her to dance? Though, it could just to be nice. Sam mentally pushed her thoughts away, into a corner of her mind. Where she couldn't dwell on them.
Andrew looked up at Sam, and stood. He held out a hand to Sam. Sam placed her hand in his, and he helped her up from the wooden chair. Britteny had quickly went up to the dj, and asked for a slow song to be played. The dj had made the switch when possible.
The slow song rang out, and everyone paired up with someone. Those who didn't pulled a best friend to dance with. Most date-less girls did this. Andrew pulled Sam close. Sam wrapped her arms around his neck and Andrew wrapped his arms around Sam's lowers back.
Nikki and Britteny tried to with hold their fangirl screams. Sam's blush started to show a bit through the make-up. Andrew smiled, and looked straight at her. Not behind her, not at the ground. At her. Which made Sam blush deeper, and she gazed into his brown eyes.
His brown eyes were soft, not the coldness of Cole's eyes. Sam felt safe in Andrew's arms. Like every part of her sad past, would just leave. Stay away when she was in his arms. Sam just hoped Andrew like her back, with the same feelings that had grown, that Sam denied for months.
Andrew gazed at her, and when the song had gotten to a part of very light, sweet notes. Andrew leaned in, without a second thought. Andrew pressed his lips to Sam's. Sam's eyes widen, but she didn't pull back. She slowly closed her eyes, and kissed Andrew back.
Britteny and Nikki could no longer with hold their fangirl screams, and everyone turned to see them. Maddie let out a happy scream, followed by the basketball team, some high schoolers that knew Andrew and Sam. Some people just let an 'awe' beacuse they thought it was cute.
Andrew pulled back, and Sam smiled. Sam thought she was smiling goofy, but Andrew was smiling back, so she didn't care. Sam laid her head on his chest as the song started to end.
To her, everything seemed to melt. Everyone of her problems just melted away, when she was with Andrew. She didn't want to leave him. She scolded herself slightly for being blind to these feelings. She forgave herself though. That was all that mattered. When the song ended, they seperated, but walked over to the chairs, and sat beside each other. They talked and joked around.
Like they were friends, yet, inside they both knew they were more than friends now. There was no going back. She wouldn't deny her feelings any longer, and never again.
