Sam's Friday was pretty normal. The half hour Friday morning practice, with a suicide running side dish. School was pretty normal. Friday's lunch was always open campus, as long as you didn't get in trouble. Nikki dragged Sam out to eat at the diner that was right beside the school.
Nikki got a table for 3, and Sam wondered who would be joining them.
"Nikki, why 3?" Sam asked, confused.
"The new British kid, Andrew."
"Oh, okay." Sam said, getting her normal salad. When Andrew walked in and Nikki waved him over. Andrew sat across the table from Sam. He ordered the steak sandwich.
"So, how are you Sam?" Andrew asked, his smile was pretty cute, and Sam couldn't help but smile back.
"Pretty good." Sam replyed.
"How was Practice?" Nikki asked, and Andrew looked at Sam wonder in his beautful brown eyes.
"Basketball," Sam explained, "Pretty good, a main dish of running drills with a side of Suicide sunday." Sam joked, it earned a smile from Nikki who felt sorry for the tired little Sam, and a charming light laugh from Andrew.
"I didn't know you played any sport." Andrew said.
"Why's that?" Sam asked, looking at him. Her voice was full of defesnive.
Andrew rasied his hands. "Sorry, I just thought you were a day dreamer. Not a sporty girl."
"Where did you get that?" Sam growled. Nikki, kind of watched this go down. She knew that was a mistake noone wanted to make. Not with Sam.
"Well, you're just so . . . um." Andrew rubbed the back of his neck.
"Beautiful? Wonderful? Charming?" Nikki asked, with a goofy smile.
Andrew nodded, taking the help greatfully. Sam shook her head, and ingored what ever he could have really meant by it. Sam wasn't looking for anyone. She was also blinded like everyone else by Cole's great looks, and sporty personality.
The food came out, and they ate with some talk.
