Numb;
The word resonates around the corners of my heart.
Numb;
It echoes louder every single time I hear it.

Numb.

A word I do not truly understand.

What is numb to you?
Is it that feeling of hopelessness?
Or
A feeling of loneliness?

Numb;
When is one ever numb?
Is it when you've been broken-hearted by your lover?
Or
Is it when that feeling of depression comes?

What is numb?
Please explain to me,
For I do not understand.

The truth is,
We can never fully understand words,
Especially those who write.

To be a poet is something of weight.
To carve and bend words into your own imagination and thinking,
In a way that others cannot.

To everyone else,
A man who writes is a master of words,
But to me,
The one who writes is the one who knows truly not the depths of the words he writes.

People are like lakes,
A body of water that lies at a particular place,
Not moving yet ever fresh,
When a stone (a word) is cast into that lake
We see the ripples.

But the ripples are the only thing we see.

We do not see the stone sinking into the lake and lying there,
We do not see the lake try it's best to spit the stone out,
We do not see the depths.

The only thing we look at or want to see are the ripples.

So I ask again,
What is numb?

I don't think anybody truly understands that word,
Or any word for that matter.

Words are not as they seem,
Nothing ever truly is.

There is only one who I know that knows the truly the in-depth of words,
One who knows it's meaning down to the bones,
One who knows,
Because he created them.

But just like I do not fully know words,
The same way I do not fully know him.

And I think,
That of all the words that man loses meaning of,
The one most do not truly know,
Or understand,
is love.

Man has an idea of love
But does not fully know it.

Only a few of this world know what love is,
As understood by man.

Love,
True love,
Is not something you try to understand.

It is not one that your mind can comprehend.

True love brings you to your knees,
It makes your eyes weep,
It makes your heart bleed,
It makes your lips sing.

True in-depth love is overwhelmingly deep,
One that takes someone else to even feel.

There is a lot we do not understand,
There are things our minds will never truly comprehend,
Life is not what we think it is,
What we want is not all there is.

Numb;
A word that is not understood unless it is felt.

Love;
A word never truly understood till there's someone else

Depression;
A word that runs deep into the dark,
One that man does not truly know.

There are a lot of words I could list out so you could get my point,
There is a lot I could say that you'd understand upfront.

So never underestimate words,
And never disregard someone else's feelings,
For you do not feel any other feelings of your own.

You do not truly understand another goes through,
You only have an idea.

And that's all it is.

For man only has an idea of everything that exists,
We do not know how deep all that is, is.
