Fire burning,
Feet running,
Free falling,
Wheels turning.I look at the sky and all I see is fire,
Fire that burns infinitely,
A fire that cannot be contained,
Just like the one that burns in my heart
Only for you.And if I pause for a second
I can see the fire taking me whole,
Burning me from head to toe,
And I welcome the scars,
Beauty like I've never seen before,
And I stand here watching it unfold.I look at the stars
As they run endlessly,
Constantly running.
Just like how I run towards you.I try to count them,
To quantify them
But it's futile.
I marvel at their numbers,
Those intimidating numbers that run chills through your bones.I run just like they do,
Trying endlessly to catch them
And hold them in my arms.
I can see them,
So close that I almost touch them
Yet too far away for me to reach.
Just like you.I close my eyes for a second
And I feel myself in space,
Gravity having no hold on me
As I fall endlessly,
Just like I'm falling for you.I watch the Nebulas circle around me,
Teasing and taunting me with their beauty,
Let's not even touch the galaxies,
Whirly beauties that govern my dreams
Great pools that circle round everything,
Everything that's you.I feel the planets revolve around me,
Orbiting me like I'm the sun,
Falling with me like comets in a night sky,
Tasting my light like I'm the moon.
And for a moment they revolve around me,
Not you.And finally I can see the sun,
I watch as it turns round and round,
Or maybe it's just the planets around it that make it seem so,
I watch in amusement and look inside,
And I see wheels turning,
Thousands of gears turning at the same time
To bring this big ball of flame to life.I sit for a moment and stare,
Stare at the beauty,
Stare at the authority it commands,
Stare as the planets surround.
Just like you.You're the sun,
Constantly attracting and luring people to taste you,
To taste the sweet honey you can give,
To get high off you,
So much that they couldn't do without you
So much that they depend on you for everything. And all I do is watch,
Watch like the moon
In the background.
Watch like one out of the billion stars in the background,
Watch like a Nebula from afar. But just for once.
Just for a second or two,
I imagine myself as the sun,
I imagine the planets as you revolving around me.
I imagine you depending on me,
For everything.
Depending on me,
To breathe,
To see,
To feel,
To dream. But its all just make believe,
Cause I'm stuck as the moon,
Watching planets swoon,
Over who?
Over you.I carry a broken moon as a heart,
Who broke it?
That's easy
You.
