Haewon's POV
months have went by since our last encounter with the h.a, yeji and i stayed home for a while until things had cooled down. we didn't want to, but with the increase of police force and investigators patrolling more frequently around seoul, there wasn't much choice.

There was no communication between us and Lisa, she took the given chance and just dipped off the map. All I knew was that if there was a lead today, she would be the first one to arrive. She would do anything to get Jennie back, anything.

Luckily for me, school had finished up fairly well and with all the free time I had, I decided to focus on my physical and mental health. No more being weak, no more manipulation, no more hiding. Determination fuelled me with the idea of becoming the strongest version of myself and I was certain that I would get to that stage.

Throughout this time, the thought of Jennie possibly dead crossed my mind several times. Countless nightmares could not cause more disturbance than what I had experienced in the dream realm. Some felt more existent than others and that worried me. But Wooyoung wouldn't kill her off straight away, we all knew that. It was just a matter of time and patience, which were two of the things he didn't want to have.

Darkness filled the air as the poles of light reflected down on the cobblestone paths. The gales sternly blew across my coal coloured locks, causing me to break out in a shiver. No cars drove past, leaving me left alone on the accessible pathway, viewing the building's profiles. Despite the mere mizzle left on the balcony's railings, I rested my covered elbows on the rusted barrier.

"Didn't expect to see you here."

I knew who it was but I chose not to look. Numerous ignored texts of me checking in with him, left on read or delivered. Was I expecting too much or was he just deciding to be inconsiderate on purpose? I'll never know.

From the corner of my eye, he was already beside me. The touch began as he stroked my bare leg whilst trying to obtain my attention. God, did I miss this feeling.

"Why are you ignoring me Haewon." he asked peculiarly.

Using now both of his hands to work his way upwards, he now posted behind me. I could see his distinctive dimple making fun of me as he rested on my shoulder, leaving pecks on my earlobe. Every urge was against me, my pettiness was getting the best of me and as much as I wanted to agree with it, I couldn't. He knows that as he kisses my neck that my resistance will crumble.

"Alright, alright. You got me!" I laugh, ticklishly.

"That's the Haewon, I know." he replied, squeezing the embrace softly. "What are you doing out here? Especially at this time."

"I just needed to clear my head a bit, it's been a while since I've left the house."

San nuzzled into my neck, the same strawberry sent from his hair had never left. He peered sneakily and as I rotated to look at him, he pecked my defined nose and made a cute, little noise.

"I see. It's been quite a while hasn't it? We haven't seen each other since the hiatus and I was planning to ask you something."

"What did you want to ask?" I questioned eagerly.

"If you wanted to be my girlfriend..."

Murmuring the words, I could just about make out what was said. Teasingly, I decided to stay quiet for a bit, to build the suspense that he was feeling awaiting for the answer.

"San, of course I will be your girlfriend, ever since I set my eyes on you I wanted to be in a relationship with you."

A merry squeal left his lips as he turned me round and gave a massive bear hug. It was purely adorable.

6. "Love will conquer but not until the end"

Sadly, in light of the enjoyment, I had to mention the H.A. If there was any word on Jennie, or anything as such.

"The members are working their hardest to find them Haewon. But out of all us, Wooyoung is the mastermind when it comes to abduction. He will make it living hell to try and find him - he sees it as a game." he informed soberly.

By that said, I was at a loss for words. All my ambition wanted to exit and never return, the possibility of never seeing my friend again shot it's bullets straight through my bulletproof heart. It wasn't pessimism this time, but it was perhaps actual statistic. Many who have been abducted either turn up to the police said to be dead, or just never found again.

"We will find her right San?" I asked, voice gravelly.

"Yeah, we will." he responded, cuddling me close as we stared into the distance.

Based off his tone, I could tell he wasn't sure, but who was I to judge when I didn't know myself?

"She is in your grasp correct?"

"Yes."

"Hidden well?"

"Yes, they won't find us for a while."

"You better hope they don't."

"Don't worry, I have a feeling she will be dead much earlier than we expected."

"That is not the plan. I told you to keep her alive. You can torture her or do whatever, but if her body isn't moving sooner than it should, you will be the one dead. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes."
