To say Momo was astonished at the house was an.... incredible understatement. They had just pulled into the top garage, having to take the alternate route there.
"And you have a top garage?! Girl... how rich is your family exactly?" Momo asks as she marvels at the house, not even having seen all of it yet.
"A lot of VERY old money Momo. A lot of old money" Xia says as she turns the car off, signaling Momo she can get out.
"You even have two pools! A 100 inch tv! Lounges and a fireplace! I thought I knew what rich was, and then I saw your house" she marveled at it, making Xia smile at the girl, leading her inside.
"Leave your bag on the couch, I'll set you up in your room later. Time for the tour" Xia says to her as she goes over to the elevator.
"And an elevator to take you from floor to floor. How can I be adopted by someone the same age as me?" Xia laughs at the girls remarks and just presses the first floor.
"What is it even like? I mean your family has all this money, but you seem pretty down to earth as far as I can tell" Momo asks the other girl.
Xia doesn't answer immediately. She never really had to think about that in such a long time, the answer didn't come to her as quickly as she thought it would. She decided half truths would be the best course of action.
"I guess it's because of what my mom would say about my grandmother who was told by her mother and so on. "No matter how much money you have, we all will bleed the same in the end". It was always something I took to heart. Yeah I have more money than most people, but at the ends it doesn't matter. Now, that doesn't mean I won't wanna live in comfort, as you can tell" she says as she elevator dings and they step off into the empty car park. "But I always remain grateful and humble because it can be taken in an instant if you're not careful".
Momo took in the words of the other young girl as they walked around the car garage.
"Anyway, this is basically the garage, where the cars go. When I decide to get more of them that is"
"Quick question though. How are you able to drive? The driving age here is 18. I'm pretty sure it's the same in China as well" Momo asks, looking to the girl confusedly.
"When you're rich Momo, certain privileges are given and certain rules are ignored" Xia says cryptically, as she turns back towards the elevator, the black haired girl following.
"Makes sense I guess. I would talk to mom about it, but I'll stick with the driver"
"They tried to get me a driver, but I'm content with driving myself. I'm definitely gonna need a new truck though. Might get the newest version of my baby upstairs" Xia says more to herself as they reach the activities room. "Anyway, this is where the magic happens! Basketball court outside, one inside, tennis room, simulation pool, and my personal favorite, the Hell Hole" Xia finishes as she opens the curtain to a personalized gym, treadmills, an octagon, and weights as well as her baby in the whole room.
