9) Phase Two: Control

"Congratulations shit-stain, you finished the course. Terribly slow, but you finished it"

Another two days had went by and Midoriya showed more improvement. Again, not as much as Xia had liked, but they were on a tight schedule so she made an executive decision to just go on tot he next phase.

Midoriya was not using this power to the best of his potential. Matter of factly, he was using it way too brazenly and forcefully. Sort like a certain blonde headed idiot she knew. The real problem was that he was WAY to adamant to use his power like that, and it was making the immortal very angry. He seemed to be wanting to proving a point that he could do it just like All Might. She wasn't even at the phase in which she gave his attitude a whole turn over, but it seems as though she's gonna have to improvise these next couple days.

"Now, we're moving on to the next part of your training. You have zero control over this power" Xia tells him straight, making the greenette sigh in annoyance.

"You've already been telling me that repeatedly" he shoots back, making the girl raise a single brow at him.

"Because it's true and you refuse to find out why. You either go at 100% or 0% and there is no in between. You have to find the balance" Xia said, walking down to him at the training area.

"How do I do that though? I've been wracking my brain for solutions, but I have nothing"

"You have nothing because you're trying to be something you're not" Izuku only rolled his eyes at this.

"Not this again"

"Yes, this again! I'm sick of repeating this same thing over and over Midoriya"

"Then don't repeat it"

"I will of you continue to not listen. You can't be All Might!" She said, stopping a few feet away from him.

"And why not?! Why can't I be? He gave me this power to be the next him!" He rose his voice at her, growing more agitated.

"Because you're not him! You're not even a sliver of what he is!" Xia yelled back, making the bots eyes widen slightly. Though she never said it out loud, the words were always inferred. But hearing it out loud was soul shattering.

"Then why did he choose me then?" He asked. His voice was noticeably softer, barely a whisper, but he was heard just fine.

"Why does anybody choose a successor Midoriya? To choose someone to not only take up the mantle left behind, but to be better than them" he looked up at her, his eyes slightly glistening. "The problem is that this is a mantle you can't take up and this is somebody you can't be better than. All Might is "One of One". There's nobody like him. There never was and there never will be. Answer me this; why is he called the Symbol of Peace? This should be a easy one fanboy".

"He's the worlds best deterrent. Anytime he's around, it's game over for the villains, no matter who they are because... he's All Might" Izuku said, his voice filled with pride as he talked about the hero.

"Your half right. It's because he makes people feel safe. Whenever he shows up, he handles the problem the best out of anyone. When All Might comes around, the people don't evacuate the areas when he fights a villain because he's All Might. They stay to watch without fear of possibly dying because they know All Might won't allow that to happen. He's the greatest hero this world has seen. He's done the most this power you have than any other user of One for All. If there was a superhero Hall of Fame, he's an undisputed first ballot, hands down. No debate. No other user of that power could of done what he did, and I know that, I saw them all rise and and I saw them all fall. You know who hasn't fell? All Might" Xia says, her mind filling with the memories of the former users and all the hardships they went through because the power they held inside them. This power they willfully accepted, along with the consequences of it.
