Capítulo IX- Ben Beast
Jude trailed up the hills of the forest. He and the guys dragged their legs, following Dude who picked up Ben's trail in the forest. It was very odd considering that Dude led them through the castle's back exit. They were lucky the trail didn't lead to the beach.
Jude climbed up trees, balancing himself on the branches, searching for Ben up high as the others stayed on the ground. Jude didn't have the specific ability for sports like tourney or football. He did hold the ability of parkour, it came in handy when they needed to be in the search of something.
"Ben!" Jude called out. His voice echoed back to his ears with no response from Ben. Jude hopped off the tree. The branches of the trees kept getting higher, the more they continued. Jude ran his hand through his fluffy hair, getting rid of any leaves or small twigs trapped in his hair.
"Dude, come here," Carlos clapped his hands. Dude pranced back to him.
"Come on, Nothing," Gil whined. A bush of berries blocked Gil's pathway, he drifted his attention to it. "These things grow everywhere," he plucked a berry from the bush plopping it in his mouth. "Hey, we should play that ice breaker game. Um, Jay, I like that you can bounce around and jump off things. Oh, and you too, Jude," he smiled. "These are free right?"
Jude wrapped an arm around Gil's shoulder, "Thanks, Gil. And take as many berries you want."
Jay marched over and chuckled, "Yeah, um, I like how you get a kick out of a berry bush."
"I guess you've probably seen everything by now, huh? Furry rocks, giant fish. You're probably used to grabbing lunch off a bush," Gil sadly smiled.
Jay plucked bushes along with Jude, "Um, no, not really. I mainly use the vending machines at practice. You know, tourney. Kinda eats up most of my time."
"Eats up," Jude laughed at the stupid pun.
"Tourney?" Harry laughed, uncontrollably. "That's a wee boy's game."
Gil pat Jay's chest, "Hey, you know what would be fun? To go rafting on the jungle river."
"That sounds awesome. Why didn't I think of that?" Jude said, peeling himself off Gil. "Or scuba diving in the Atlantic."
"Find a lost civilization," Jay added.
"Atlantis!"
"Oh, or maybe a penguin."
"Oh, well, you'll find those in more like icebergs but I'd love to see one of those."
"Gil, Jay, I know the perfect place to find a penguin and at the same time, you could meet a yeti and an elf. The elves are pretty funny to mess around with."
