Capítulo VII- El Cotillón

Arriving at Auradon, Ben told Fairy Godmother what had happened. Fairy Godmother agreed to give Nevada a temporary room until after the Cotillion. Then they'll figure out where she'll be staying.

Walking together to their dorms, Ben was stopped by Jane about the cotillion. She whispered to Ben as Pandora kept going. He called out her name, "Do you wanna cancel?" He asked. She stared at Ben unsure what to say. "Do whatever you need to do."

     "Okay."

     "Pandora, wait."

She groaned and glanced around for Carlos. He was huddled up with the VK's and Jude holding Dude in his arms. Pandora crossed her arms and made her way to her friends, "I feel like I'm going to get a lecture."

"I know that we aren't as close to you like Jude is, but we're your family, too. We've been through a lot together and we're not stopping that now, okay?" Carlos sat on the grass petting Dude, "Everyone sit come on." They all sat in a circle waiting for Carlos to speak. "I don't know how to start this."

Carlos's eyes shifted to Jay and Jude with a look on his face practically asking them to start it. Jay pursed his lips and shrugged, "What up?" Evie let out a light chuckle.

Jude brought his knees close to his chest, wrapping his arms around them. He tilted his head to Pandora, silently begging her to say something.  She sighed in defeat under his stare, "I was alone for 16 years before I met you guys and now everyone expects me to be this 'perfect lady of the court' when in reality I'm not. I know running away from my problems was a very impulsive decision. And that caused way more problems than there've been and I'm sorry. I should've faced them and dealt with the consequences."

"It's okay," Evie placed her hand on Pandora's knee to stop her from tearing the grass. "We're always gonna be kids from the isle. I tried to forget it, I really did, but those are our roots and we all did what we had to do to survive, but it made us who we are and we're never gonna be like anybody else here. That's okay."

"Yeah, I mean it's where we're from and it's hard for all of us. We're expected to work twice as hard here given our roots. I went from stealing from babies to acting like a civilized human being and I'm still a mess," Mal consoled.

"But I love Mal the way she is," Jude warmly smiled at her. Mal glanced down, her purple hair hid her reddened face from the group.

"And if Ben doesn't love the real you, then he's not the one, "Carlos added. "Give him a chance."

Jude placed his elbow on Pandora's shoulder, "And like you said, you grew up isolated so it's gonna take a lot of time to adjust."

"Your dress will be waiting for you, only if you're up for it, okay?" Evie sent Pandora one of her charming smiles and strolled off to her dorm.
