Capítulo VIII- Realidad

The pen in Pandora's hand smoothly glid on the piece of paper. Gel pens were her favorite pen now realizing it a couple of days after her arrival in Auradon. You barely have to apply any pressure to the pen for the tip to write on the sheet of paper. The only annoying thing about it was that you had to wait for it to dry before it smudged on the paper, in this case, her English essay.

A soft knock on her door averted her attention from her homework to the door. She glanced at the clock on her bed and the time read 7:15 pm. Pandora didn't get any visitors, especially this late unless it was Jude but never this late. She got up from her desk with her eyebrows furrowed and answered the door.

Ben flashed her one of his cheeky smiles upon the sight of her. A blue shirt hugged his physique with a comfortable pair of light-grey sweatpants. It was very much different from his regular attire of an expensive suit. Pandora gave him a false smile, it wasn't that she didn't hate him. She was conflicted with her feelings toward him, romantic or not ever since their date. Unfortunately, Ben was able to tell her smile wasn't genuine.

It did hurt him knowing she wasn't excited to see him but either way, he didn't stop smiling. "Hey, Pandora."

"What are you doing here?" She asked. He was invading the little free time she had and it was used to do homework. She didn't know why she did it, she and her father were going to take over the world in a few days either way. Maybe it was to pass the time.

"I wanted to see you. I barely saw you today." He quickly added, "Which isn't your fault, I was also busy."

     "Oh."

Pandora had to take care of Ben. Now that he was spelled and didn't have a mind of his own, she had to supervise him which adds to the reason why she didn't want to be the one spelling him. She grew up alone unless she was spending time with her mother and the thought of being with someone 24/7 was bugging her. She needed her space even if she didn't mind the prince's company.

Pandora moved to the side and awkwardly asked, "Would you like to come in?"

"Sure, yeah." Ben stepped foot in her room and took off his shoes. He took a glimpse of the desk feet within him and her cursive handwriting on the paper. "Did I disturb your study session? I could leave," he said, putting his one shoe he took off.

"No, stay. I was going to take a break," she lied. She mentally rolled her eyes, wondering why she didn't let him leave. "You can sit on the bed, I don't really care."

Ben kept his gaze on her waiting to see if she didn't change her mind. He didn't want to cross her boundaries and make her annoyed. It was something he noticed within the days of knowing her but she seemed to keep her cool around him. It made him happy knowing it but he was still cautious. Ben finally sat on the foot of her bed.
