Alaska stood at the bar in front of me. "Here, don't tell Darren." I slid a tray of drinks to her. "You're the best."
"I have a break in a bit."
"I'll meet you outside." Alaska said with a wink before walking off. I smiled to myself before serving the next guy.
"Thanks for starting earlier tonight Sharon." Darren said as he patted me on the shoulder. "It's fine."
"It's just that Willam booked this evening off."
"I know, it's Alaska's birthday."
"Do you want your break now?"
"You sure?"
"I think I can hold the fort for a while."
"Thanks." I untied my apron and put in on the shelf under the bar before slipping outside and down the alley. Five minutes later Alaska appeared. "I wondered where you got to." I muttered as I pulled her closer and rested my head on her chest. "I'm sorry, I had trouble getting away from Will."
"She keeps texting me asking me to bring over more drinks."
"You should come and join us."
"Can't, I'm working till closing time."
"Not even one drink?" Alaska asked as she looked at me with puppy-dog eyes.
"I really can't, we're so busy, but I'll make it up to you tomorrow."
"I'll hold you to that." I placed both my hands on Alaska's waist before kissing her.

I was awoken in the morning by someone shoving me. I stretched before opening my eyes and looking at Justin. "What?"
"I'm going home."
"No."
"Yes, I know you said you'd come too but I thought I'd let you sleep."
"You should've woken me up."
"You can come and visit anytime; you know where I am."
"But it's your birthday."
"I don't mind." Justin smiled as he sat down on the bed. "Come and see me later today if you really want to but I have plans with Gabe anyway."
"The same Gabe from school?"
"Yes."
"Are you being serious?"
"Deadly."
"Give me five minutes, I'm coming too."
"Stop being jealous, we're just friends."
"He said that last time and then kissed you."
"Shut up, we're just friends."
"Anyway, happy birthday." I smiled as I rolled over and gently kissed Justin.
"Thanks."

"Hey." I pulled over a chair and sat down before placing my phone and a pack a cigarettes on the table. "I thought you moved away?" Gabe muttered as he stared at me.
"I have."
"Then why are you here?"
"Is it a crime to come and visit my boyfriend?"
"You're dating?"
"Yes."
"So this is the second time I've lost you to Aaron?" Gabe asked as he looked at Justin.
"I'm sorry, what?" I asked.
"I was planning on asking you out." Gabe said to Justin. 
"Too bad." I said as I put my arm around Justin.
