"I literally had to force you out the car." I laughed as Justin shoved me playfully.
"You two look like you're having fun." We both turned to look at Chad who placed his coat down in the armchair. "We've just been talking about when we both started drag." I explained.
"Oh Aaron, Will said she'd cover for you so we could still go to the carnival tonight."
"Shit." I muttered.
"What's up?"
"I completely forgot about the carnival and said I'd go and watch a movie with Justin."
"It's fine, you go out with Chad, I don't mind."
"What will you do though?"
"Will is working so I'm sure she can find me some jobs to do."
"Why don't you come to the carnival with us?" Chad suggested.
"I wouldn't want to intrude."
"You wouldn't be, would he Aaron?" Justin looked at me.
"You should definitely come."
"If you're sure?"
"Positive." Chad said as he disappeared into the kitchen.
"You sure it's alright?" Justin asked me.
"It'll make it even better." I said causing Justin to smile. I quickly kissed him on the forehead. "I'm sorry I never did it."
"I said it's alright."
"Chad's mom is still not better, in fact she's worse; he came home gutted and asked if I'd go to the carnival with him to try take his mind off things."
"It's fine, you don't have to explain."
"I want to make it up to you."
"You don't have to; you've done nothing wrong."
"What's Aaron done now?" Chad asked as he sat down in the armchair, a drink in his hand.
"I was apologising again for not being able to go see the film." I smiled at Chad.***
"AARON, HURRY UP!" I heard Chad call up the stairs.
"GIVE ME A MINUTE!" I called back. I rifled through my drawers until I found the t-shirt I was looking for. I grabbed the black shirt and headed into the spare room where I hid it under the pillow then headed downstairs.
"What took you so long?" Chad asked.
"Nothing, so are we going?"
"Right." Justin looked at me and gave a weak smile before following Chad out the front door. "Are you sure you guys don't mind me coming with you?"
"It'll be fun." Chad said cheerfully enough. I opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat.
Soon enough we pulled into the parking lot at the carnival. "Right, I'll go and collect the tickets and get an extra one." Chad smiled before kissing me and climbing out of the car.
"Maybe I should go back?" Justin muttered.
"Why?" I replied as I turned around in my seat.
"I'm intruding on your date."
"I'd rather have you here, anyway carnivals are our thing." Justin smiled and leaned forward to kiss me.***
I slipped into the spare room and locked the door behind me. "Are you awake?" I whispered. The room remained silent. "Okay, you're awake, you're not snoring."
"I don't snore!"
"You do."
"I don't."
"I've slept next to you enough times to know you do." I muttered as I sat down on the edge of the bed. "What do you want?"
"Don't be rude." I laughed.
"Well, if you've just come to insult me you can leave."
"It's my house."
"Fine."
"Anyway I can't sleep."
"Why don't you just talk to your boyfriend?"
"That's what I am doing." I crawled across the bed and climbed under the covers.
"You're so needy." Justin sighed.
"I know, but you love me."
"Do I?"
"Yes, now go to sleep." I cuddled up closer to Justin and wrapped my arms around him. "Nighty nightmares."
"Goodnight."
