I was awoken by a knock on the hotel room door. I sat up, rubbed my eyes, and grabbed my glasses from the bedside table. I climbed out of bed and opened the door. Aaron pushed past me, and I closed the door behind him. "Do come in."
"We need to talk."
"Right now?" I asked as I grabbed my phone. "It's six in the morning."
"So what?" Aaron said as he sat down on the bed. "Like I said, we need to talk."
"Why?"
"Trixie."
"Right." I said as I sat down on the bed next to Aaron. My hand brushed against his and he pulled it away like he'd received an electric shock. "You don't need to be so jumpy, I'm not gonna try anything."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Alright."
"Trixie thinks we need to get back together."
"I know."
"You do?"
"Mhm, she's been trying to convince me it's gonna happen."
"And?"
"And what?"
"What do you think?"
"Oh, I keep telling her it's never gonna happen and that you're happy with Chad."
"Is what Willam said true?"
"What?"
"That you hadn't dated anyone for a while?"
"I mean I've had quite a few hook-ups and Joel and I dated for a short while, but it wasn't serious."
"Wait, you dated Joel again?" Aaron laughed.
"Shut up." I said as I shoved him.
"I've been having weird dreams." Aaron stated.
"Okay?"
"Actually, never mind, I'll tell you some other time."
"I'll hold you to that."
"Do you want to do something today?"
"Depends what you have in mind?"
"Haven't decided yet."
"Then I hope you won't mind if I go back to bed." I turned and crawled across the bed and pulled the covers over myself. "Oh no you don't." Aaron said as he tried pulling the covers back off me. We were both laughing until Aaron fell on top of me. I looked and him and he looked at me before his phone started ringing. "What?" He asked as he got up. "Right, yeah, I'll see you later." Aaron locked his phone and slipped it into the pocket of his jeans. "I should get going, but I'll be back because we're going out."
"Right."

I found myself walking alongside Aaron through town. "I still don't know how you forced me to come out with you."
"Because you love me."
"Not true."
"That's rude."
"Shame."
"You fancy a drink?" Aaron asked as we came to a stop outside a small coffee shop.
"Sure, I could do with a hot chocolate." Aaron pushed open the door and a little bell tinkled overhead. "Take a seat loves." An elderly woman said. We took seats at an empty table in the corner; I slipped off my jacket and hung it on the back of the chair. "What can I get you both?"
"Two hot chocolates please." Aaron said and the woman smiled.
"Coming right up."
"You do realise when we meet up with the others later, we'll have to go back to acting like we barely know each other."
"I know, it's shit but it's easier than explaining everything."
