The night is filled with relaxing, connecting, and getting in touch with our feelings now that we have 2 more children in our brood. For me, reality set in and I was a tad bit overwhelmed. Being with my love always centers me and gets me back on track. Nanny is proving to be invaluable amongst all the chaos. She's my wingman, I should say woman, and a darn good one at that. Feeding the twins every two hours or less is exhausting. It seems like we no sooner get done and settled in and it's time again. Martha will also help relieve some of the stress of caring for 4 infants. I have to let go and accept help. My darling husband reminded me I have to have help to stay well for them. He doesn't want me to relapse with that nasty concussion syndrome again.

Our babies are bonding especially well with us. I know we crashed hard and totally slept thru missing one feeding that Nanny took care of for us. It's foggy but I remember her taking Adeline off of me and softly saying, "Sleep, my dear. That is why I am here to help you." I briefly woke up in a dazed stupor and quickly drifted back asleep.

**********

Our room is lined with big windows, I wake up drenched in the morning sun. "Sweetie, are you awake?"

"Uh-huh, why? Is it time to feed them?"

"Nope, not yet. Let's take the little ones over to the sunlight. Remember, Dr said at least two 30 minute sessions today. One hour of daylight equals 6 hours of lamp therapy. Pappa, why do you have my sweet Adeline?"

"Nanny switched them so we can give each of them equal time. How did you know they were switched?"

"Darling, Mama knows which baby is which. At the moment we have one that's Carmel colored and one that's Butterscotch colored, it's even easier to decipher. Let's get them in this beautiful daylight before it disappears."

We hustle out of bed and move over to the windows. The day is bright but the sunlight is diffused. A settee has been turned around facing the window, just the way we like it. I take a seat while gently laying Adele out on my lap. She wants to be up on me instead of on my lap.

With her head upon my knees, I stroke her little chipmunk cheeks while talking to her, 'Yes, Mama's baby girl needs some of this gorgeous sunshine to be well." She stretches out, yawns, and settles in on my thighs. The bright daylight is bathing her in warmth and its healing powers.

My husband is struggling, trying to get Adeline to lay on his lap. "Mama, help me...talk to her. Maybe hearing your sweet voice will settle her down."Laying my hand on her head and speaking softly to her. Immediately her eyes fixate on me and she relaxes on him to soak up the daylight. They don't need the gauze eye protection away from the lamps and the sunlight is filtered.

Nanny is watching and nods. "Ma'am, you're right on schedule. Thirty minutes of sun, then it's time for their feeding. I will have their bottles ready. Ms. Chari is getting ready to go home this morning. At the rate she's pumping breast milk, I think she will have enough to feed Ethan and Violet too."

My husband looks up, "Nanny, tell them we'll pay more than agreed to if she can feed 'em all."

"Sir, she already said she plans to pump as much milk as she can send over for all the babies."

I look over my shoulder, here comes Chari in to see us. She's dressed up in her street clothes and appears ready to go home. "Prince and Gigi, I got my walking papers to go home. Before we leave, I wanted to say goodbye to you and the girls. AND, by the way, yes I will have enough milk to feed Ethan and Violet too. Nanny told me you were feeding them breastmilk. Your milk bank days are over. I can easily supply the demand. Don't worry."
