Slow Love 3-Chaos and Disorder

Chapter 9

Gigi POV

We establish a new normal. Well, nothing is ever normal around him but as normal as it can be or what is normal for us. Nanny and Martha take care of the twins through the nighttime and we take care of them during the day. We get up around 11 AM as before, feed them at noon, while they sleep we do our office chores, sometimes he goes to the studio that has been set up for him in the house, and we meet up at 4 PM to feed the twins again. Afterward, we take an afternoon nap with them until dinnertime. We feed them after dinner then again at midnight when Nanny and Martha take over for the rest of the night in their nursery.

Today we get up and ready early to go over to the hospital for another round of ultrasounds. This is an exciting time for us. We get to see the girls and the boys progress and find out exactly how many babies Bobbie is carrying. Deep down I hope the possible 4 heartbeats for Bobbie was a mistake last time. I think one baby suits me just fine. This time, Chari and Beth are getting 3D ultrasounds, Beth's first 3D at 20 weeks.

We requested all subsequent ultrasounds for Chari be 3D because we enjoy it and the Doctor agreed as she can see more of what's going on. The insurance should pay for it but we can pay for it if not. I love seeing their little faces and all their features. It is so intricate and beautiful to see them, especially at this late stage, and close to delivery. Everything goes along well. Chari is doing well and on target at about 36-38 weeks for delivery. We are at 34 weeks, it won't be long now. Beth's first 3D revealed that the identical twin boys are sharing the placenta. Both are a good size and one is not larger than the other. We will have to keep a close eye on them to make sure there are no complications. She's at 20 weeks and will be ultrasounded only once a month. We probably won't see her again until after our girls are born. Bobbie's ultrasound revealed only two strong heartbeats. Next month we will know the sex of them. I am relieved Bobbie is only carry 2 and not the suspected 4. 

After the ultrasounds and lunch, I go across the street for my doctor's appointment. I did everything I was supposed to so I hope we accomplished our objective.

After examining the report from Nanny and asking me a few questions, Dr. DeBro is pleased and satisfied with my progress. He told me I am still in the healing process and to continue resting as much as possible. The deep sleep therapy was a successful part of the treatment, but not complete. I have to rest every chance I get the next few months to aid the healing process. "A little here and a little there adds up." he said. Hopefully, progress will continue to heal me back to normal.

Today Bonnie and Steve traveled back home to prepare and list their house on the market for sale. They will be gone for about a week. Gosh, I hope they come back early, I have pangs of missing them already. Chari invited us over for Sunday lunch. She told us to bring the twins with us and both nannies. She is feeling much better now and since I am too she wants to give us some time to bond with our girls. We are looking forward to a nice afternoon with them. Her mother is there to help so we will get an opportunity to meet her. I hear she is a lovely lady. We also enjoy their children very much. He loves playing games with them and they enjoy trying to beat him. He's so competitive and they manage to win half the time.

Tonight is Thursday, it is our weekly date night. He informed me there is an awards ceremony where he agreed to be a presenter so we have to go. "Baby, I reserved a room for us afterward." 

"You know Sweetheart, if we're out too late, we just might have to skip midnight at the oasis. Remember the Dr said I have to keep resting and I can't do that staying up all night like we used to." 

 "Mama, don't worry. I agreed only because I am an early presenter, we will leave immediately after that. When I go backstage, you head to the car and wait for me. [French accent] As soon as the award is presented, I will join you. We will be whisked off to an undisclosed location."
